Holycow! STEAKHOUSE by Chef Afit — Restaurant in Jakarta

Holycow mentioned they have a birthday promo where we order anything with any price and get a free spaghetti. At that night it wasn’t crowded, we were there around 7pm.

I thought the promo menu looks decent. But the free spaghetti for birthday was so bland and it’s too hard to chew, not a proper food to be served to the customer. I feel like they just serve me a leftover, a very very very scrap of leftover maybe. It’s that bad. Even the instant Wow spaghetti tastes better than this. In the end i didn’t finish it. Too hard to chew and swallow 🤧

We ordered the other steak, and it was okay. The sauce is so-so or more bland. And almost 80% in the menu is not available 😅, only the steaks and the most expensive steak available.

We were there on Monday around 6:30pm for hubby's birthday treat. They ran out of 400-gram Rib Eye steak that I want. They ran out of American Bergyu Burger that my hubby wants. They told me they were not ready/prepared for Sauteed Spinach side dish printed on their menu. They gave me a blank look when I asked where the Hubby's Birthday Promo of Free Pasta was after we filled out their form for it. That Pasta never showed up at our table, then I had to tell them to wrap it for TAKE-AWAY.

All that does not include the terrible cuts of meat from the Buddy's Ramadhan Combo Deal. Too much gristle (= tough inedible tissue in meat) that I could only eat probably half out of 200 grams of "steak", the rest was all gristle that I had to spit out, could not...

Best value for money if you're looking to have a steak. I've had their hokubee combo and it was juicy and delicious. They would ask you to check if the meat was cooked as per your preference when they serve the food and if you need anything else, including extra sauce. Plus point on their great service. Like almost any other steak place in Jakarta, their mash potato wasn't good, get french fries or no potato at all. And if you're famished, you can try their big bites. It's huge!
