Washoku SATO - Batu Tulis — Restaurant in Jakarta

Been a while since the last time I visited Washoku Sato. This restaurant is nicely filled (not overcrowded). In this visit I ordered varieties of foods, let's start from Sukiyaki Set, in this set you get 2 types of beef sukiyaki meats, assorted veggies and served with raw egg, beside that you also get to choose your appetizer, 1 of special menu and get ice cream as dessert, but this set isn't include rice, so if you still need that extra carbs you can order rice (because I'm typical Indonesian people, of course I ordered that additional rice). Second, I ordered 2 type of sushi which are California Roll (taste wise it's pretty bland and the portions is HUGE!) and Spicy Beef Roll (this sushi menu is bland as well, you just get little hint of chili powder here and there). Then I also ordered their Yaki Udon, which is sadly not really my style (i'm not gonna recommend this one for you guys!). Next, I ordered Diced US Tenderloin Steak with Black Pepper Sauce, taste wise this one is so so, but surprisingly this one is one of the best taste menu amongst the other orders. I also order their Chicken Katsutama Don which is flat bland. Maybe it's me but, I need those saltines in my food (I know you guys have your own preferences, so if you guys are a fan of bland food maybe Washoku Sato is a perfect restaurant for you). And lastly for dessert, I ordered their Choco Crunch, which is choco ice cream and sauce served with fresh cream and cookies (corn flakes). For Washoku Sato, I'm gonna rate them 2.5 out of 5! A Hidden Gem for Japanese Cuisine!

This restaurant is truly underrated! The food was amazing—delicious flavors, beautifully presented, and served in generous portions. I ordered the Beef Yakiniku Bento and Grilled Salmon Head, and both were exceptional.

The Beef Yakiniku Bento was only 69K before tax, and during Ramadan 2025, it comes with a free iced cincau drink!

The Grilled Salmon Head was incredibly generous—a whole salmon head, not just half, and it was perfectly grilled with a delicious taste. And guess what? It was only 58K before tax!

For this level of quality, I honestly don’t know how they maintain a profit at such affordable prices.

The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was great, though slightly short of perfection. Highly recommended for Japanese food lovers looking for amazing taste and great value. I'm definitely coming back...

Oke, jadi tgl 28 feb 25, makan di sini bareng ISTRI, karna kebetulan menang voucher diskon 100k minimum spend 250k (food only) dan tidak bisa ayce, jadi hanya ala carte...

Masuk tidak tunggu meja lgsg duduk, di kasih menu dan waitress mundur ke bagian kitchen mau nanya jadi susah karna cuma 3 orang di depan 2 lagi sibuk di kasir

Akhir nya manggil yang di kasir kebetulan yg dtg mungkin spv atau atasan inisial nya LS..

kita make sure lagi untuk penggunaan voucher nya dan setelah di jelaskan ini oke sih jelas.. Nah nah di bagian minum ini karna tidak termasuk voucher diskon akhir nya kita pilih yang free refill dan 1 gelas karna suami istri..

Menu mulai datang Ada ( klo ga salah nama menu) 1.beef curry don set ( rasa enak, ngenyangin) 2.abura/i cheese beef (daging nya agak tebel, enak, ngenyangin) 3.yakitori set isi 6 (sate doang. rasa boring, tapi juicy) 4.ebi volcano sushi half (ini enak buat yang doyan pedes) 5.beef aburi sushi half (ini enak, ngenyangin) 6.free refill drink (ada macam2 rasa)

Nah yang jadi masalah nya adalah Saat kami makan, itu hanya ada 4 meja terisi, Dan di tengah2 saat makan tiba2 di tegur oleh LS dengan alasan FREE REFIL DRINK GA BOLEH DI SHARE.. Loh kami ini pesan ALA CARTE bukan AYCE yang paket harus sama per 1 meja per orang.. Kenapa minum harus pesan 2 dan ga boleh sharing?

Seandai nya pun ga boleh ya bilang dari awal dong, jadi memang pesen nya 2,

Hilang mood makan, saya take away ada charge 2000, ya oke lah ga masalah

Cuma saya kecewa sih makan disini, cukup 1x aja yak.. Payah service nya apa lagi...
