Liyen Restaurant — Restaurant in Jakarta

So i am here in Liyen restaurant. We gather at 3rd floor to celebrate family birthday.❤🎉

1st floor is main restaurant table. Where as from 2nd & 3rd floor can be use for medium party for gathering, karaoke & ofc good food. Each floor have toilet & wastafels. They provide an elevator so elders can come & enjoy their time. (Without climbing stairs)

Typical your Chinese food, Liyen provide pork, duck and usual exotic CN food. Thy also hv common alc brand & other beverages. 😀 So it is wise to know, when you picking any restaurant.👍

Where I attend, on 3rd floor. Room provided w/ protector, a stage & karaoke tv screen. (Also a mixer for controlling the audio)

The room is wide, can accommodate 12 table, so around 120 people. Where you can still move around the room w/ ease. (Walk space for deliver the food)

🤔 we party until 11 PM (from 6 PM). So yeah, atmosphere & customer...

Food is okay, price is considered expensive but affordable...but it is a rip off restaurant as they will serve you with entry condiments like peanuts and pickles which they will not tell in advance those items will be charged...during your meals the owner will go around and offer you/your kids with a dessert like pudding and let you know if you want some more...we thought it was free as for the kid..but it will be charge...anyway.. if you wish to come here and want to avoid disappointment, you will need to ask every damn item whether or not it is free, you will need to manually ask the waiter to take out those items otherwise it will appear in your final bill...and service charge still...

We have been eyeing this restaurant for a while. Finally had a chance to try it. We had wished it would be an excellent experience, but it wasn’t so😔

Their menu on Zomato seemed promising, although a little steep in price. How shocked we were upon finding out the current updated skyrocket prices. Didn’t want to be rude to leave the empty restaurant (at lunch time), we could only afford 3 dishes: Lindung Cah Fumak, Leher Babi & Guiling Gao.

Lindung Cah Fumak & Guiling Gao were just ordinary while the Leher Babi was quite special (considering this was the first time eating this meat)...so our visit wasn’t a total disaster after all.
