Most seatings fully occupied, I noticed many happy campers, dining carefree at this sumptuous extravaganza. For starters exquisite cracked lobster tail, freshly shuck oysters, fancy xtra large prawns, green muscles and white clams over ice. Soups from minestrone to gazpacho. Another island displays tuna, beef, & pork carpaccio. Leafy mix and crafted salad bar. Flame grilled fresh fish lengthy fillets plus ribeye & tenderloin thick cuts or done on the flat iron if you prefer. Chef specialty carvings of meat and foul. Variety seafood dishes done italiano style. Many vegetable sides. Pasta live cooking station with house made sauces. Cheese & Bread table. WoodFire Pizza orders as you like. Rolling carts of risotto, gnocci, petite parfaits, etc pushed to your tableside. Adorable Sweets like creme brulee, pannecotti, tiramisu just to name a few faves. Cool Fresh melon cubes, pineapple slices, papaya, mango & bananas. Fruit juices and their punches included. Champagne/Wine optional cost. This is a great Sunday Brunch! Only I wish there could be breakfast items also such as eggs (omelettes or your way), pastries (croissants, danish, tarts) and Belgian waffles &/or pancakes. (it completes a 'br' part of the br-unch) OK so that's a bit less of an Italian Job xcpt for egg dishes. Otherwise still, this is totally delightfull and satisfying. We enjoyed our fine dining experience. Congrats to the team of culinary artists, service staff...
Read moreMy wife and I had the opportunity to dine here this past weekend - wow!!
This was THE BEST MEAL WE HAVE HAD IN JAKARTA in our almost two years of living and eating here!
The selection of breads was amazing - all freshly baked - and worthy of the best Italian bakers. The arancini appetizer was stuffed with the most delicious olives and served perfectly crisp! Next was the eggplant parmigiana and it’s Smokey perfection... followed by the linguine pasta with ragu and crab, which fused the tastes together like you couldn’t imagine possible. The main dish was a melt in your mouth, wagyu tenderloin, accented by the best truffle mashed potatoes that have ever crossed my lips! Delicious!
And if my taste buds weren’t already in heaven, the wine was paired to get them there and keep them there throughout the entire meal. (Pretty amazing, as I have all but given up on getting a decent glass of vino in Jakarta.)
And the dessert, was a deconstructed and double the normal size of tiramisu - another perfect plate, especially when paired with my after dinner, Italian rule breaking cappuccino! (if you’ve ever lived in bella italia you know exactly what I’m talking about...)
The SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT as well, with Mauricio and his team providing extremely attentive service and recommendations (without being intrusive) throughout the evening.
I already can’t...
Read moreMulia Hotel was once my fav place to dine in. I always get excited. Nontheles now after 4 years not dining, i was so excited to try their new set menu to celebrate my bday w/ my gf.
It was a disaster. Utterly below my expectation.
App: tuna was tough and dry. Salad was warm?? The mushroom soup was 5star tho AMAZING-despite the ugly look.
Main: took around 20-30min to serve. I dont know why altho it is very quiet night, not many guests dining. When it came, i am flabbergasted and SHOCKED with the portion as you can see. When they serve it, me and my gf looked at each other in disbelieve. Dory was chewy as well
Dessert: again, took very loongg altho it is a simple one, idk why. Taste very standard, I've taste better desserts in a less fancy place. How is that even making sense?
We got 'forced' billed 15 min before closing and lights starting to switched off EVENTHOUGH they themselves who serve very slow. We're like eating in a rush and under mental pressure from the staff. What an experience...
When we leave, NOT A SINGLE thankyou mentioned altho couple staffs seeing us leaving the premises.
Bottom line: 2 star because of the soup and considering the price is 200k nett / person.
Will not come back. Hope u can fix urself. Goodbye Mulia for now. Kinda sad once my fav hotel and I wont...
