The Cafe at Mulia Senayan Hotel, highly recommended! If you eat to this place one thing is certain, prepare a stomach that is very hungry, guaranteed not to lose, does it really not want to lose ?! At The Cafe we can eat as we like, and for me it's better to eat until the stomach says stop !!!! Please forgive me, my stomach, if here I was confused with the food, same menus that we can try: Asian Kitchen: provides various kinds of dimsum, roast duck, roast chicken and many choices of Chinese food. There are also various choices of Indonesian cuisine, among others, rib soup, meat soup, karedok, warm. BBQ Kitchen: there are options such as lamp, beef, prawn, salmon fish, those who like fish heads like me, there are salmon heads too. Please choose and then cook the service. Japanese Kitchen: a variety of sushi and sashimi from salmon, tuna, squid, ikura, hand roll, ramen, cool, there is tako crab, tako teriyaki. Indian Kitchen: I don't really understand anything Western Kitchen: we can choose a variety of french fries, pata, seafood paella, roast beef, and others. Oyster Kitchen: oysters, shrimp and crabs are not mixed in the sushi kitchen but in place in front of Tomyam Kitchen. Choose as much as you like with various kinds of sauce. Wow, so delicious 😀 Gado-Gado, Tom Yum, Bakmi, Kwetiau: complete into one here, just choose put the bowl then give it to the waiter to cook. You can mix the spices yourself Dessert Kitchen: a lot of choices of cakes that are neatly arranged in a storefront, then home made ice cream with various flavors with a variety of topping choices (chocolate, vanilla, coffee, kiwi, macem), fruits served in a bowl and already cut into one package (watermelon, melon, wine, dragon fruit). If you like chocolate, the fruit that is pierced like wine, melon, dragon fruit, strawberry, can be forgotten into melted chocolate. There is toping yogurt that can mix itself. There are various cakes such as Thai cassava and delicious traditional cakes. Alhamdulillah, I have been invited to eat here several times, so every time I invited here, there will be a noodle station (just choose to put the bowl then give it to the waiter to cook, we can mix the spices) which I will always favor, and of course desert will always spoil my tongue. Good food, cozy place and good service and...
Read moreI recently dined at Café Mulia, intrigued by its diverse menu offerings but left with mixed feelings about the overall experience.
First, let's talk about the positives. The menu boasts an array of enticing options, ranging from traditional favorites like roti canai with chicken curry to international delights like carbonara pasta and cheese bread. Despite the lackluster taste of some dishes, I would still recommend giving these signature items a try for a decent culinary experience.
However, the shining stars of the establishment were undoubtedly Mr. Andi and Mr. Tommy, whose exceptional service and warm hospitality stood out amidst an otherwise lackluster staff performance. Their dedication and attentiveness left a lasting impression, overshadowing the subpar service delivered by the rest of the team.
Unfortunately, my initial excitement was dampened by several downsides. Despite being labeled as a 5-star hotel, the service and hospitality fell short of expectations. My first encounter with the staff at the café was less than ideal, with their lackadaisical attitude and dismissive responses failing to reflect the standards one would expect from a luxury establishment. While I refrain from detailing specific conversations here, I urge Café Mulia management to address these shortcomings promptly, as they significantly detract from the overall dining experience.
Moreover, hygiene concerns arose when I observed a staff member handling food with bare hands at one of the food stands—a blatant disregard for basic sanitation practices that left me feeling uneasy about the food safety standards upheld by the...
Read moreCame here for lunch at 16th january 2022. I will discuss this review based on what I eat station by station Cold cuts: I ate smoked beef, smoked chicken and some cheeses. They all taste pretty much like how you would expect them anywhere else Sushi and sashimi: the fish doesn't smell fishy but the texture is hard unlike a normal sashimi, I would even say that those fish were meaty. Western station: roast chicken is tender but tasteless. Roast beef is very hard and tasteless even the gravy is tasteless, can't even imagine how can you make a tasteless gravy. Mash potatoes' texture is alright but again tasteless, see the pattern? Chicken shawarma is pretty good but nothing special. Seafood chowder is fishy and feels like diluted. Indian section: all of the curry and chicken tikka lacks spices. Grill section: got a tenderloin that still has fat and not tender at all and tasteless like most of the other food. Chicken skewer is meh. Desserts: way less desserts than before the pandemic. Got the mango cheesecake and I did not taste the mango at all just a normal cheesecake. The pudding is still good.
Note: I do not have covid because I ate better food after this.
Tl;dr : it is not worth it almost all the food is either hard or...
