TLDR: bland food, staff constantly approaching, lack of transparency in the price of the dishes, receiving food we did not order, not receiving ordered food. However, the experience comes in a wonderful location.
We decided to try the all-you-can-eat dim sum. The food was presented nicely but tasted bland. The service, however, was not up to par. We had to ask for the drinks menu, and when I ordered Mulia water, the waiter informed us it was unavailable (despite being there at opening) and offered a more expensive water instead. I ordered lemon tea, but it wasn’t served until the end of my meal.
Staff came to our table every few minutes offering dishes that weren’t on the menu they provided us, without explaining if they were included or if we would have to pay extra. I would have preferred to simply have a complete menu, so we declined the offers.
I mostly tried food from the buffet area. I wanted to try the other dishes, so I started by ordering three. The staff told me they’d bring them to the table in 10 minutes, so I waited before ordering more. After half an hour of waiting, I decided to order three more dishes. I received two of them immediately, while the third arrived 15 minutes later.
After 40 minutes from my first order, I received two dishes—one from the initial order and one I didn’t order. The remaining two dishes from my first order never came. We also received food we hadn’t ordered more than once. Portions were inconsistent; the same dish would come with two portions the first time and only one the next.
The atmosphere wasn’t relaxing, as staff kept approaching the table, making me feel tense. I was so tense that I only tried sambal at the start and avoided the other sauces to avoid unnecessary interactions. This stress impacted my overall experience. However, I did like the furniture and the style...
Read moreIt is so grand. The design of the restaurant is beyond another ordinary restaurant. It is so beautiful just to see the decoration and the chair is comfortable. There many kinds of Chinese foods. You can eat seafood and choose your own sauce. There also many kinds of meat with a different sauce. What interests me the most is the ball-shaped tea leaves. Its shape like a ball and when hot was water pours in, the flower will come out from that the leaves. There are many kinds of foods ranging from fried foods, meat, seafood, dim sum, and dessert.
The waitress is so kind and nice. They always serve us with a smile and very friendly.
One thing I don't like is the lighting is a bit dim. Especially the table in the middle (turn left from the entrance). I think it's better to put some light near that table (I came to this restaurant at noon). And, I feel that the restaurant can save more energy. The restaurant can turn off the lights that are near the window because it is useless to turn it on in the afternoon.
In overall, this restaurant is very cosy. If you want to try various kinds of Chinese food in one place, this is the place. This place is not so noisy and feels relaxing. Really recommended eating here with your partner,...
Read moreStill thinking about last night’s dinner at Table8, Mulia… Taste? We'll get to that. But first—the warmth. This place doesn’t just serve food, it serves hospitality that feels like home.
We were taken care of by Mba Nanih and Pak Marullah, who made the whole experience feel personal and heartfelt. Mba Nanih welcomed us like family and even brought out her favorite dishes (you have to try the mango salad and jellyfish!). Pak Marullah was just as thoughtful—offering us food like a parent making sure their kids never go hungry 😅 We left full, happy, and already wanting to come back.
Now… the food. Dim sum? On a whole new level. Fat, juicy fillings. Salted egg pao = UNREAL. Crispy onde-onde, airy sweet potato balls with pandan filling. Grill station: salmon, lamb, beef tenderloin, tiger prawns. Soup station: not a single miss.
Usually we dine at The Café when visiting Mulia, but this was our first time at Table8—and it blew us away. Unforgettable. Definitely not our last visit.
📣 Psst... weekend promo in August: only 339k/pax (from 600++k!) Trust me—this is your sign to go. Say hi to Mba Nanih and Pak...
