Kinsuke Ramen — Restaurant in Jakarta

i really really want to give 5 star but my experience dining here was far from what i expected.

first of all is, hard to find any staff. other than the staff that showed us our table, it was difficult to call any waiters. the bell was no use. it took longer than other ramen shop for them to serve our orders. we both order ramen (mine is miso and my partner is curry ramen) and a original karage. after it served, the ramen was a tad smelly i don’t know if it was from the bowl or the ramen condiment. my miso broth was fine but lacks of any wow factor, and my partner’s curry ramen is too watery. the karage also took a pretty long time to be served and we decided to takeaway. but, the takeaway packaging looks a little sad (see pic). i really don’t know why the service was this bad.

and what makes me really disappointed is that, there were no any staffs that offer us ocha refill because the staffs were nowhere in sight.

i was also a bit sad when i found out that the ramen has “endless noodle” promo that no one mentioned. we just found out about it after we left from the promo poster. my bad maybe because i didn’t see it at first but really, why the staff didn’t offer me first huhu

i’m sorry but my first experience wasn’t as good as...

The presentation was too much different with menu book’s photo. We ordered the so-called Shoyu 2 Slices Wagyu Ramen + Tamago, but were shocked with what we got. Wagyu slices were too broken to be called slices. Don’t call it “slices” if it is not. You should change the menu name indeed. It is only a matter of time for more serious disputes.

Call button was basically a joke. You need to press it many times to call the staff. Staff’s attitude was nice, which is the reason why I spared another star in addition to 1 star (so 2 stars).

One issue was the delivery to the table. For ramen, it is crucial to deliver it as soon as possible to the customer while it is still hot. However, at Kinsuke, it seems they deliver in batch. For example, after 30 minutes wait, they delivered 3 portions (different menu) at once. Some were already cold.

Update: Quite curious why other reviews with 5 stars are mainly 1st time ones. Maybe due to...

I ordered the hot pot collagen with cheese added (Their best sellers). Felt like I threw away my money in vain. The reason?

Slow response from the crews; I ordered the hot pot without knowing the type of noodle I may choose, yet they didn't try to offer such information, what I got was ugly fat noodle (can't really say it's close to udon), totally turning off my apetite. Relatively big part of the collagen broth is grease/oil and it tastes bland (This is a matter of preference so it's ok). The way they brought the cheese was nasty, yet again totally turning off my appetite (x2). It was 3 P.M., not its peak custimers hour and they're pretty slow in processing the checkouts. Also the space is very narrow, you'll find yourself disturbed many times while queueing by the crew moving around.

Does IDR 100k-ish worth for what I got? I think not. That concludes my review at this...
