Marugame Udon Pondok Indah Mall 2 Lantai 3 — Restaurant in Jakarta

I've always had satisfactory experience with Marugame Udon, until this visit. I came at around 3pm for a late lunch on a weekday. The restaurant is quiet, which I don't mind at all. However, the problem began with how unprepared the service crew was as I attempt to make payment, no one was ready on the cashier register hence I had to wait. I'd understand if the place was busy, but it wasn't. Regardless, the wait was the least of my problem. It was hard to enjoy the meal I usually always do with all the flies and bugs flying around. Considering the price I paid for and the fact that this is a restaurant in a mall, I'm deeply disappointed that flies and bugs found their way in the restaurant. I've been a regular customer to Marugame Udon and had notice some changes to the food. I always order Niku Udon, today I got less beef topping, less broth and the food has a little bit decrease of standard, the fritters however still good especially the prawn tempura but the chicken katsu tasted not fresh, cold and hard to swallow. I know they can do more, surely i will comeback some other day. They new menu Tori Ten Bukake Udon also not so good in my honest opinion, its just like eating udon poured...

Located on the third floor, this restaurant has a wider space than the one in Gandaria City Mall. It is suitable for a large group.

All udon dishes are delicious. They could be accompanied by many kinds of tempura. Ocha tea will be the best choice for the beverage. The price is affordable. Same price for all branches.
