Came to have coffee with friends, and decided to try Lustre because the place looks nice and the coffee looks quite serious in a good way. After trying their coffee, i have to admit it is quite alright tasting. However thatâs all the good i have to say about this place. Seriously, this place has an image and status problem! They have this stupid rule that says and i quote, âFOR THE SAFETY FOR ALL OUR GUEST, NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKS ARE PERMITTEDâ. I was just carrying a take away box from the the previous restaurant. I wasnât even eating the food but i was forced to hide it. HIDE IT! Literally had to place the box behind me on the seat!!! How is take away food a safety concern!? Worried people would look negatively at anything except their products on the table!? Crazy! Cafes are supposed to be warm and welcoming establishments. Such a shame this place seems too stuck up with their image. So overall, be aware if you are coming here. Apparently outside food and drinks is dangerous...

For you with an appetite to a non-generic Strbcks coffee. And adore a fancy with luxurious atmospher. Armed with polite and kind crews.
Their menus are somewhat quite similar with other coffee brewer (They only provide 2 sizes: Small and Medium. Similar with Tall & Grande in Strbcks) . With slightly better taste and fresh ones. At least for me.
What's more? The ultimate feature that Lustre excel is: Frappe. Especially Mocha Frappe for coffee-based and Royal Chip for sweet-but-less-coffee-based. As I usually only buy Moccha Frappe from Strbcks. And now, I'll be welcoming Lustre's Moccha Frappe into one of my favorite beverages.
And, try also their Iced Pink Tea for a fresh taste (a combined of sweet - sour taste). Also their Mint Tea after your iced and cold beverages to ease your throat.

Lustre merupakan salah satu coffee shop bertema Prancis yang terletak di lantai 2 Street Gallery. Coffee shopnya sangat elegan dengan lampu gantung dan sofa yang empuk.
Selain itu ada meja dan kursi di dekat tembok. Bahkan ada area VIP room serta smoking yang sedikit terbuka.
Saya berkunjung sekitar jam 12 siang dan tidak ramai. Beneran cocok buat #metime atau bahkan kerja. Stop kontak pun tersedia di area sofa, benar-benar nyaman.
Untuk minuman tersedia menu kopi, teh maupun minuman lainnya. Buat makanannya ada sweets maupun savoury. Bahkan ada menu sourdough bread yang jarang ditemukan di coffee shop pada umumnya, pilihannya ada Beef Mayo Sourdough & Croque Monsieur.

Beef Mayo Sourdough (IDR 75k)
Sourdough yang sangat-sangat worth it dibanding harga! Ukuran rotinya cukup besar dengan isian yang sungguhan terasa di setiap gigitan.
Permukaan rotinya renyah, namun dalamnya empuk. Rasa garlic butternya sangat terasa dan gurih. Mayonaissrnya pun tidak berbau amis dan menambah tekstur creamy.
Untuk smoked beefnya juga sungguhan banyak. Jumlahnya balance sehingga mayonaissenya tidak creamy berlebih dan malah menutupi rasa garlic butter pada sourdough breadnya.
Selain itu juga ada keju yang menambah aroma serta taste cheesy. Perpaduan setiap isian benar-benar pas sehingga tidak ada rasa yang terlalu mendominasi.
Untuk pembelian sourdough bread juga disediakan saus sambal. Namun jujur saja, rasanya sudah sangat enak tanpa harus menambahkan saus sambal. Menurut saya, makanan yang enak seharusnya sudah enak tanpa tambahan saus, garam atau condiment apapun. Dan sourdoughnya sungguhan enak.
Matcha (Medium, IDR 63k)
Saya suka matcha yang cenderung pahit dan saya suka matcha latte di sini. Green teanya sungguhan terasa dan rasanya cenderung bittersweet.
Kuantitas gulanya pun pas sehingga tidak over sweet namun tidak hambar.
Chouette
Chouette merupakan perpaduan kopi dan susu. Rasa susunya tidak terlalu dominan dan pahitnya kopi terasa di setiap tegukan .
Gulanya juga tidak over sweet. Rasa manisnya pas, sehingga tidak menutupi rasa kopinya. . . Pelayanan juga cukup ramah dan cepat. Tidak sampai 10 menit kemudian pesanan saya sudah available.
Mungkin ini terkesan berlebihan, namun rasanya sungguhan like a dream come true. Tidak mudah menemukan tempat yang tidak hanya ambiencenya oke, namun rasa makanannya enak.
Menurut saya, ini tempat perfect buat #metime maupun nongkrong santai...
