I came to this restaurant because my partner and I were craving for sushi, but we're too lazy to go to our usual cheap sushi bar near Bekasi. So... Here goes our review on Kira-Kira Ginza.
We were fascinated by the ambiance consistency, the lamps, decorations, even the TV were all representing Japanese culture. The servers were all helpful and not discriminating the customers because on our visit, we were the only Indonesian couple there. Everyone else except us, were Japanese. Kudos to their hospitality.
About the food, we can say that the price could represent the amount of portion that we could get. Yes, salmon nigiri sushi is expensive; yes, salmon sashimi is expensive, too. But if you compare it to another cheap sushi bar, you can say that the dish from Kira-Kira Ginza is honest.
Taste-wise, the salmon slices were all fresh. We both like it the most. It didn't have the fishy old smell, and the rice to salmon slices ratio is just right. They don't add to much rice to the nigiri. We ain't go to the sushi bar to eat the rice off the...
Read moreTried this restaurant last weekend. If I'm not wrong, this is one of the oldest Japanese restaurants in town. The restaurant serves many Japanese dishes and they claim that they're authentic.
First of all, interior wise, I really like the ambience of the restaurant. It really feels like real and authentic restaurants in Japan with all the decorations and designs. It's also not hard to spot this restaurant from the outside as it has a huge Japanese themed painting at the front side of the building.
I ordered several dishes: buta tama, katsu ni, kuotie, and momo yakitori. All of them were amazing! I really loved the momo yakitori and the buta tama thou. Price wise, they're also still affordable for the quality and portion that they offer. The staffs were also very helpful and friendly. They have good product knowledge so you can consult your orders first.
I would definitely recommend this place to my friends who are looking for authentic Japanese dishes and I will personally come back to try...

During my visit, there was a particularly noisy group that somewhat marred the overall ambiance. The presence of cigarette smoke also caused a slight inconvenience.
When it comes to the food, it was pretty standard, nothing too extraordinary. The Tebasaki didn't quite hit the mark and the Una Jyu was just average. However, the Ramen was satisfactory.
Although the restaurant presents a diverse menu and some unique features like private rooms (tatami), there are areas like cleanliness and noise control that could be improved for a better dining experience. Despite these points, the place does offer a decent Japanese dining experience, especially if you are in the mood for Ramen.
But id probably...
