Mlinjo Cafe and Resto Tomang — Restaurant in Jakarta

First time going to this restaurant as friend's recommendation. If u want to find the Javanese authentic food then u must try to eat here. When we came yesterday, it is quite crowded but still manageable and space free. The restaurant has 2 places (indoor with AC and outdoor without AC). Outdoor one fulfilled with plants, for indoor one fulfilled with lights, photo spot with instagramable view, feels homy like u are in ur eating room. When u came, the waiter / waitress will come & give the menu book for the food. When seeing the menu, it is really sound u were in Central Java (Pekalongan, Semarang or Yogyakarta combined together in one restaurant). Yesterday, we ordered Nasi Megono Ayam komplit (price IDR37,500, this one complete with rice, egg, sambal ati ampla, chicken and megono), nasi gudeg (price IDR43,000, this one so yummy feels like u were in Yogyakarta with sweet gudeg, krecek, rice), soto pekalongan daging (IDR43,000, Pekalongan famous food, soto with tauco), oseng kikil cabe hijau (IDR29,000), sate ayam isi 5 (IDR38,000, the meat so juicy and big), sayur asem (IDR18,000, the taste is sweet and lots of melinjo), tumis daun pepaya (IDR21,000), otak-otak Singapura (IDR21,000), tahu petis (IDR24,000, the tofu so crispy and petis so nice), es gobet (IDR30,000, this is special ice consists of rujak serut & es puter, so special), es cincau hijau (IDR24,000), wedang uwuh (IDR19,000, combining of spices with red colour consists of ginger, kapulaga, sereh). After waiting just a while then all foods came and all of them so yummy. The waiter / waitress is so nice also. The ambience of restaurant also nice, taste of food also great. Now You guys tourist from overseas where ever U come from, Should u come to Jakarta and Don't even know what to eat then you want to try Mlinjo Javanese Food, I've been to several restaurant, this is the best restaurant yet, The place is clean, the portion is Big, the ambience feels like Indonesian home, The food is GOOD 👍. a bit warning though, come around 2-3 at noon, since if u come at 12pm lunch break, it full pack people from the office break will come here for lunch, How to get here is easy, just use Bluebird taxi or Grab or Gojek and follow google maps, you will be there. I like this restaurant, the food, service and atmosphere inside the restaurant. Their menu actually Javanese cuisine with on point taste, the right level of cooking, neither overcook nor undercook.

The condiment presented is truly authentic Javanese condiment. Eventhough they have a lot of variant’s menu, they can be served very quickly. The restaurant also serves “the menu of the day”, I tried "Oseng Otot", it was really savory and delicious!

The restaurant has indoor and outdoor for dine in. The atmosphere of indoor restaurant is cozy, the temperature is on point, the layout is good, and interior is very nice.

I think owner should be reviewed of distance between tables, i think was too close. Hence customer will make safety for dine inn. Athough a glass of hot water is also provided to make sterile cutlery.
