Cattleya City Park — Attraction in Jakarta

One of the only few parks in the hustle bustle of Jakarta megapolis. It's a sad reality but certainly a rarity to treasure. Right in the corner of the entrance of Tangerang toll road entrance, traffic noise would be your constant friend in the background. Aside from that, it's conveniently close to Taman Anggrek-Central Park area.

The park has a nice paved walking path encircling the not-so-picturesque brown pond. But if you are running, you'd probably want to go off the path along the trees because the pavement is not really that even and quite tight. Encircling the park off the path would be around 400 meters long.

Worth to mention is a sculpture by a Ukrainian artist to symbolize Jakarta and Kyiv's connection as sister cities. It's located near the entrance and it's a statue of Anne de Kyiv, who was the queen of Henry I of French.

It's a favorite spot for the locals. Little kids jumping around in the fountain, a little girl is playing badminton with her father, a couple is sharing nasi bungkus together. Truly a park for the people.

A park won't be complete without street food. The vendors are prohibited from entering the park but they can be easily found in the entrance, including the never-go-wrong tahu...

Place is fun for walking with a partner and ok for picnic with family and friends Minus of it is a lot of cats and the place kind of dirty because of the leaf that falls from the trees and also there is a sign of no swim no fishing no dog no smoking I guess but kids still swim in lake, the lake us dirty and they still fishing.. There is not really much security. There are only 2 security members in front of the gate, and there is a water fountain where kids can play within.. The only things that are not right are not many people running a lot of people just gathering picnicking and waiting for their kids at the playground and that water fountain... I don't have a picture. You guys just come and see the place.. BTW... PARKING IS FREE...! JUST SAY THANK YOU TO THOSE SECURITY...! Also, be careful where u step in. U might step...

Went in December 2020. Arrived at 3PM, there was no car at all. Saw some people sitting around but pretty quiet. Went for a short run and quick workout outdoor, it was nice. Lots of trees. As it was reaching to 4pm I saw more people coming. Some families with children running and biking around. There were 3 cars when I left.

All in all, it is a good option to exercise outdoor during this pandemic. But better come at 3 for a quieter place.

Location wise, it is pretty tricky as it is located in the corner just before you go to toll road. So you need to drive slowly so you dont pass it because it is one-way lane. No parking fee charge too but they have...
