I was on the hunt for a specific Delonghi coffee machine, which is getting pretty hard to find in Jakarta. I’d exchanged some WhatsApp messages with their team, though the details about availability were a bit unclear. Since the price was competitive, I decided to visit the store.

Ruki greeted me right away and asked what I was looking for. He was super helpful, though I had to ask a few extra questions to get all the details I needed—like you do when making a purchase. He worked quickly, attentively, and efficiently. But then, to my surprise, another associate came over and asked if I had made an appointment. I mentioned that Ruki was already helping me, but he repeated the question. I simply answered “no,” but it left me wondering if this interaction was productive for anyone involved.

Maybe he didn’t know I was already being assisted, but it came across as a bit rude and not very helpful. Appointment or not, I was there and clearly needed assistance, right? That small hiccup left a slightly bitter note on an otherwise great shopping experience. Ruki continued being attentive, guiding me through each step and helping me understand more about the unit I was about to buy.

On a lighter note, this shop is a fantastic place to not only buy supplies but also learn about the coffee business in Indonesia. Great place to hang out all day. Great coffee for my taste, nutty flavor. Iced roasted latte, iced pandan, both are excellent and not too sweet. Hot capuccino also good. Has quite a selection of coffee maker, full auto ranging from IDR 15-24 Million for branded import, and IDR 5 Million for full auto otten brand (out of stock at the moment, but restocking soon and available for pre order).
