A Few Observations from Our Visit to KidZania
We were fortunate during our visit as we did not experience the crowding or long queues that many other reviews have mentioned. Perhaps we were just lucky. However, I would like to share a different perspective that hasn’t been widely discussed.
Unequal Access to Information
We came there both local and foreign parents. To save time, we split up and approached different counters. As a local mom, I was informed about a current promotional offer. Unfortunately, my foreign friend was not given the same information at her counter—she only found out because I told her afterward.
This discrepancy is concerning. It’s disappointing that staff didn’t communicate the same details to all guests. Language should not be a barrier—especially in an international concept like KidZania. If English proficiency is lacking among the staff, more training should be provided. The KidZania brand serves a diverse, global audience and should reflect that in its service.
The Concept VS The Reality: Unhealthy Products for Kids
While the overall concept of KidZania is creative and engaging, especially when aligned with the appropriate age group, there is a clear need to curate the booths, products, and souvenirs more thoughtfully—particularly with children’s health in mind.
Example: Cow Station At the milking booth, children received a bottle of milk—but instead of plain or original milk, they were given artificially flavored strawberry milk. This raises questions about the lesson being conveyed through the experience. Additionally, the ingredients in that milk were far from ideal.
Other booths and merchants also offered products that are not suitable for children from a nutritional standpoint. I hope KidZania takes this feedback seriously and reassesses the health standards of what is offered.
Limited and Low-Quality Food Options
Most families spend an entire day at KidZania, so it’s expected that many will dine within the facility. Unfortunately, the food selection was very limited, and the quality was disappointing. I visited with my three-year-old and a group of toddlers, and none of them finished their meals. Even the little ones commented that the food didn’t taste good.
Improving the food quality and offering more diverse and nutritious choices would greatly enhance the overall experience for both...

While Kidzania promises an unforgettable adventure, there are a few practical considerations to keep in mind. This unique destination allows children to interact in a fully developed town created just for them, where they get to choose from the variety of grown-up activities they would like to do and experience them as if they were adults. It is located in the CBD that can easily reached by busway or MRT, making it very convenient to go there.
However, be prepared for long queues in every profession sections, as there are no fast track to solve the problem. As the afternoon progresses, it gets busier, making it hard to try out all the different professions in one visit.
Despite these challenges, the experiences at Kidzania is memorable. While long wait times may be a factor, arriving early and planning ahead can enhance your visit. Read moreDuring our trip to Indonesia from Australia, we went there in January 2025 with my 2 children along with my sister and also my friends with their toddler. We were always big fans of Kidzania. I checked on their social media for many times and called them asking about everything and the date of our visit. The customer service did not mention anything about the school groups. When we arrived there in the morning we were so shocked of the 1000 students who came there for the school excursion.
We literally only played 4 activities and just gave up. The lines for every activity were just impossible. That was the biggest mistake I have ever done during the trip for visiting Kidzania and wasted our time and energy. I talked to other regular customer who traveled from Kalimantan just to go there and they were very disappointed as well.
I went to the customer service office and made a complaint about what I experienced that day, but the man just didn't do anything about it.
We all know that playgrounds need to make profit to keep it going. But for 1000 students a day I think that's more than enough. They should update on their website and social medias about the school excursions so that regular customers are aware of the consequences.
Regular customers also deserve to play not just to queue. If it's written 6 people only for any of the activities then please make sure that half of the players are regular customers and half are from the school groups. Isn't it fair to do it?
Also not a lot of the staffs speak English. That's another sad thing about it.
Overall not anymore we'd go and recommend...
