Palace on the Twenty Seventh — Restaurant in Jakarta

First impression was kinda nice. High ceiling at 27th floor is nice. The food taste is good, just the food decoration is kinda too much & too tacky for me. Overall meal has good taste, unexpectedly the string beans , the aubergine (tumis terong) is delicious. The salt egg fish crisp also really good. Another unexpected good one is their fried udon. The lemongrass fried chicken also nice, still tender inside. Its the beef that is least favourable on our menu tonite. Now, about other aspects: We went on Friday evening, they have limited lobster, dont have crabs etc, a real disappointment for an upper class Chinese resto. The lobby to resto is a bis dark, kinda gloomy and not inviting enough. The service is kinda slow, maybe just recently opened? So they kinda clueless how to help a group of people or when is the right time to change the plate etc those service details that you would’ve expect in...

Just had a simple dinner here. Service was great and excellent. All the staffs were attentive and friendly. They did very well in doing their service. Atmosphere was nice. Chinese modern ambience and very cozy. Quiet and perfect to have a chit chat with your friends and family. Well now about the foods, I personally like all the foods the served. It is subjective but I am pretty concerned with what I eat. Most of their dishes were less oil and not greasy. I ordered Egg Tofu Shimeji, Steamed Chicken and Pocai. All cooked well with good seasoning and less oil. If you like the chinese cuisine served with less oil and clean palate, this place is perfect for you. Pricewise is very very reasonable.
