Pepperloin Steakhouse — Restaurant in Jakarta

Eat here twice, the first time was pleasant, had the combo hakubee and it was delicious, the meat was tender, juicy, even my picky father likes it, combo comes with drink and dessert, totally worth it, but I dont recommend the fries though, better have the mashed potato instead. Come here the second time, we decided to try the 500 gram USDA choice rib eye, we have made a reservation 2 hours prior to our arrival by phone call according to the instruction, and the waitress had accept it. Come here kinda bit late (15minutes), we have to order it again, eventually we waited for 30 minutes, when other customers already had their meals, we are still waiting, what's the point for the call???!! Our order eventually came, only to have it still RAW, really raw, only the outside of the meat thats cooked. The meat wasn't cook throughly. If you wish to order the 500 gram meat, do give them a call at least twice, it seems one is not enough. if it was not because our second visit, I would've probably give more ratings.

These disappointments happened on our 3rd time visit (21-3-2019). I made group reservation (14-15 persons) to be seated on second floor by last Sunday (4 days earlier), then suddenly moved to first floor without any confirmation. We just replaced by other group that made reservation a day before with stupid excuse. The waiter served food that we did not order, lack of product knowledge. They served us 2 portions of steak that did not well cooked as we stated! First steak re-grilled once, ok good! Second steak re-grilled once, still rare! Burned outside, rare inside! They offered us second time to re-grilled that steak 🙈 I refused and asked for new one! Spent more than 10 minutes to make sure that our bill is correctly paid. Last, the supervisor on this picture did not give win-win solution after asking somebody (maybe his boss or leader) by chat, but just giving us another stupid excuse. So pity.

Overall their dishes is good, at good price, but today, they SERVED US VERY BAD on our special celebration.

I went here today to try the food and drinks in the restaurant while rating it and I'll say the service is great but the menu doesn't have any pictures or colours to see how the food looks like but it's fine. Today i ordered hokubee sirloin combo that includes Steak + Drinks + Ice cream i also ordered onion rings, sadly i must give the drinks 6/10 because no free refills and the glass is too small to have enough water or tea to drink. After eating it i conclude that the onion rings are 7/10 because it's too much flour that made the onion less tasty and too fat. And for the steak it is 9/10 because it's soft, delicious, and smells good! The fries/mashed potato compliments the steak and the sauces too! The only shame i can say is the steak looks a little overcooked from the outside but it's still good!
