Pho Street Lippo Mall Puri — Restaurant in Jakarta

Disappointed with this particular branch of pho street at Lippo Mall Puri. Tried once pho street at Emporium Pluit Mall and I loved every bit of it.

Ordered pho beef shank, pork belly rice, beef rice vermicelli and some cendol dessert.

The pho came out to be just warm not as hot as it supposed to be. Called the waiter to have it heated. The soup is surprisingly too salty. The beef shank is also way too tough. This is such a disappointing experience.

The beef vermicelli turns out to be the same, way too tough although the beef shanks is generously served. The vermicelli is just way too wet.

The red beans in the cendol is still hard to chew, should have taken some time to boil further. Although the crushed green beans is as sweet as it should be.

The pork belly is the only nicest thing to brag about, it’s nicely stewed and tender; it dissolves easily in the mouth. Such a wonderful stewed pork belly. It comes with a bowl of white rice and an egg. The only downside is that the pork belly is way just too little, as you can see in the photo taken.

Although the food experience is not great, but the service level is good though. The waiters are readily available at most times and most importantly they are friendly.

Overall, I don’t enjoy eating here at this particular branch. My comparison is the one at Emporium Pluit; which they won big time over the one at Lippo Mall Puri.

The food is not as hot as it should be, it was only room temperature. The beverages are a disaster, it feels like they just throw the ingredients without proper care, for example the lemon cooler, they didn't smash mint and just throw it to the bottom of the glass. Therefore, there is no taste of mint or lemon at all.

The service, was late and food came first instead of drinks, the lemon grass drink came without lemon grass, after requesting it, she brought lemon grass without smashing it.
