This was my first time eating here, and with so many recommendations, it did not disappoint.
We were greeted by the lovely staffs, which made for a warm welcome. The menu is very diverse, showcasing the richness of Indonesian food. While the drink was visually appealing, its taste was just okay.
The main course was the highlight, with every element bursting with flavors. The smoked fish and sambal were especially good. We asked for extra cucumbers, and they were provided without any extra charge.
The dessert was alright, but the sticky rice was a bit problematic. It was served in a disc shape, which caused the dessert to overflow when cut. Notably, the dessert was presented after the main meal without being asked, showing the attentiveness of the staff.
The concept of appreciating the artwork behind the food and drinks is great on paper. However, a suggestion would be to present the art or painting with the dish and its story. This could be a great addition to your next masterpiece.
The price of IDR 164,300 for all three courses is almost like a freebie. It’s worth every penny. I definitely recommend coming here if you want to experience authentic Indonesian food.

Read moreRemboelan is a mid-high restaurant specializes in Indonesia cuisines. We ordered Nasi Goreng, Nasi Bakar, two types of Telur Tahu, Bakwan Jagung, Tumis Buncis, and some other from our previous visit before this one. Some are very good, although I have to admit that some are quite salty.
The thing with Remboelan is they have literally tons of dishes to choose from the menu, so before you enter in group I suggest you ought to at least check out the online menu, so you'd have the idea what to order. Other thing is I totally fond of its interior, where two Remboelan I had visited they have a very attractive interior.
