First Stop After Landing: Pagi Sore at PIK is a Must
Pagi Sore has become a favorite among Malaysians visiting Indonesia and for good reason. The restaurant is often packed with Malaysian tourists, a clear sign of its growing popularity and well-deserved reputation. The food is absolutely delicious rich in flavor, authentic, and truly unforgettable.
This isn't your typical Restoran Minang. Pagi Sore @PIK (Pantai Indah Kapuk), Jakarta, stands out for being classy, clean, bright, and incredibly comfortable. Most importantly, it’s impeccably maintained no flies, and fly traps are neatly fixed to the walls, keeping the dining area fresh and discreetly hygienic. That level of cleanliness alone sets it apart from most traditional Indonesian eateries.
The PIK (Pantai Indah Kapuk) branch is especially popular, located conveniently near the airport. It’s the perfect first stop for a hearty lunch after landing the flavors hit just right, giving you an authentic Indonesian experience from the very beginning of your trip.
While the food is on the pricier side, it’s well worth it for the ambiance, the taste, and the high standards of hygiene. As the saying goes, "Good food doesn’t come cheap," and at Pagi Sore, you get what you pay for.
The staff are courteous, and the facilities including toilets and handwashing areas are spotless. Even the way the waiters clean the tables is impressive, reflecting a rare attention to detail that's hard to find in many local eateries.
There's also a cozy coffee cafe in the corner that serves good coffee. However, one suggestion would be for them to clearly display their prices, as is standard practice in international coffee chains like Starbucks. At times, the prices can feel a bit steep, and transparency would improve the experience.
We visited twice during our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-tier Indonesian dining experience. If you're after authentic flavors in a clean and elegant setting, Pagi Sore is the...
Read moreThis Padang styled restaurant is a must try for all visitors to Jakarta. In fact, there are a few outlets carrying the Pagi Sore brand, but we specially decided to choose this particular one, on our way to the airport, before we fly back to KL.
Najwa had been mentioning the name ever since day 1, but our itinerary had been quite packed throughout our soujourn in Jakarta. Hence, it was such a great opportunity to be able to try it on our very last day. We have tried plenty of Nasi Padang restaurants before, the Simpang Tiga restaurants in Medan and Ipoh, as well as the various Rumah Sederhana outlets in Malaysia. But Pagi Sore is distinctly unique.
Upon our arrival, we were quickly ushered to our Table for 4, and as we were sitting down, some foods were also being continuously piled up on our table. I know that we would be charged only for those we actually ate, but the delectable spread being presented in front of our eyes were very hard to resist!! So, some ground rules needed to be established to ensure we didnt encourage any wastages. This was a major challenge for Daniel, ad he was so used to finishing all the leftovers!!
I just couldnt resist the huge Fresh Water Prawn which was staring directly at my face, and decided to do justice to it. My wife and Najwa loved the Ayam Bumbu Putih, the Chicken with White Gravy, and I also found that dish to be marvelously delicious too. Daniel and I ended up finishing a plate of what looked like some crackers, which actually turned out to be Keropok Kulit Sapi, or Cow's Hide crackers...go figure..
All in all, it was such a fullfilling lunch, and Najwa settled the bills with a big smile, as the cost was very agreable to her. Obviously, I would happily recommend this...
Read moreHey, fellow foodies! 🌟 I recently visited RM Pagi Sore PIK (Resto & PS Coffee) at Golf Island PIK2 in Jakarta, Indonesia, and it was an incredible experience! The ambiance of the place is welcoming and chic, blending traditional Indonesian decor with modern touches. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxing meal with friends or family.
One of the highlights of my visit was the grilled chicken – it was absolutely divine! 🍗 The chicken was perfectly grilled, juicy, and marinated with a blend of spices that gave it a rich, smoky flavor. Every bite was a burst of deliciousness, and it paired wonderfully with the traditional sambal that added just the right amount of heat.
The menu offers a variety of authentic Padang dishes, each prepared with care and attention to detail. 🍛 I also tried their rendang, which was tender and flavorful, melting in my mouth. The side dishes, like the crispy fried tempeh and the rich, coconut-infused vegetables, complemented the main dishes perfectly, making the meal a delightful feast.
To top it off, the PS Coffee section is a must-visit for coffee lovers. ☕ The baristas are skilled and passionate, crafting each cup with precision. I enjoyed a smooth, rich cup of their signature coffee, which was the perfect way to end my meal. The combination of delicious food and excellent coffee makes this place a gem in Jakarta.
If you’re ever in the area, RM Pagi Sore PIK is definitely worth a visit! You’ll leave with a happy heart and a...
