Rumah Juliet Vegan Cake — Restaurant in Jakarta

The salted caramel cake was nice and soo sweet, unfortunately the Cheesecake and Red velvet donut were just okay. Donut wasn't sweet and had a strange taste. Both, the osmanthus tea and hazelnut latte were good but unfortunately my latte came at first without hazelnut flavour and the portion is way too small. So after one sip and recognizing there was no hazelnut flavour half of my latte was gone (I'm exaggerating a little). But i asked the staff about putting some flavour in it anyways and they did and everything was okay.

Unfortunately they don't accept credit card payments! Communication via smartphone and online payments and phone calls...that was pretty annoying. They gave us a Donut for free which was nice.

Staff speaks a little english if they speak at all..... they weren't unfriendly but not very...

I really would love to give a 5-star review, but I do mind with the location: it is inside a small street or "gang", hardly reached by car, can only be reached with motorbikes indeed. The coffee though, is amazing, quite strong but not acidic: definitely worth the price! The cakes are quite tasty - even though they were made for vegan people - me who is not vegan still able to enjoy it, though I wasn't expecting anything. The cakes basically taste pretty normal, I think what enhances the flavour is the buttercream :3 Keep it up. As for ambiance, c'est parfait :D It does feel like a cafe in Parisian street, but since the location is in the "gang", it's slightly hard to be vibed with.
