Bakmi Vegan 99 — Restaurant in Jakarta

Never had veg-style noodle before, this one surely nailed it, I’m glad this can replace my craving for ‘bakmi’, its beyond expectation! And the veggie fried-catfish was even more surprising than the noodle, so I was blown away twice! This small veggie vendor was explicitly neat and clean, but of course a bit hot inside, the owner lady was super nice and very engaging. I will definitely back for more varieties of their menu, like the nasi goreng, sambal hijau...

Located across Tarumanegara University and behind Ukrida, at the moment the nearest transjakarta stop is the S Parman Podomoro City or Grogol 1..

The noodles surprisingly taste good.. It's not strong but not bland either.. texture : chewy, but not half cooked.. The broth / soup and dumpling (if you ordered with one) still hot with the corn and chives taste strong & fresh. Just mix it a little to the noodle if you want some in between of...

Nice humble little local cafe that seems to be run by 1 auntie.

I had the bakmie sambal hijo for 26k (1.60 usd). It was delicious and very spicy. Don’t order anything with “sambal” if you can’t take the heat.

Speaking of heat, it’s also extremely humid and warm in here but you should be used to it by now...
