Sapori Deli — Restaurant in Jakarta

Although it's name conjures up a place for light bites, Sapori Deli serves full course meals also. It is divided into 2 sections one section "quick" bites and a full fledged restaurant in the other.

I had the special of the month which was the pasta prepared "live" inside a cheese bowl. I loved the taste except that I had a piece of finger nail stuck in my teeth (which is kinda disgusting). Nail of the waitress must have broken off and fell into the pasta while she was preparing it. Staff handling food shouldn't have long nails in the first place, especially in a restaurant of a five star hotel.

For appetizer, we had Asparagus (fragrant and crunchy) and the Burrata (Standard fare).

We also ordered the Rendang pizza, which was a Jakarta specialty, and Pasta aglio olio. The Pasta taster like Chinese style noodles and the the pizza was tough like leather.

Price is reasonable but it would not make up for the bad hygiene and sub-par food served. Service is attentive because.l there were no other guests.

The restaurant is located at Fairmont hotel so parking is aplenty.

Guess I would give this restaurant a pass and won't be...

Their food is absolutely wonderful!! From preparation to presentation, very pleasing.

For main course, I especially enjoyed their Margherita Pizza and also the Ravioli. The crust of the pizza, absolutely perfect. The seasoning of both dishes, top-notch!

Don't forget to try their Nutella Berliner for a quick bite as well. For those of you who looooove chocolate, you'll gonna love it. The bread is so fluffy and the combination with Nutella inside, will make you come back for more!!

I've visited Sapori Deli quite often, and I must say that they managed to CONSISTENTLY keep the HIGH QUALITY STANDARD!
