Sedjuk, a charming traditional bakmie restaurant, is an absolute gem hidden away in the bustling streets of the city. With its warm and inviting atmosphere, this eatery captures the essence of Indonesian cuisine, offering an array of mouthwatering dishes that will leave you craving for more. From their signature bakmie to their delightful rice bowls and traditional snacks, Sedjuk delivers an exceptional dining experience that celebrates authentic flavors.
Let's start with the star of the show, the bakmie. Sedjuk's bakmie is a true delight for the senses. The noodles are perfectly cooked, retaining a delightful chewiness, and the accompanying toppings are a symphony of flavors. Whether you choose the classic chicken or beef, each bowl is a harmonious blend of textures and tastes. The generous portions and thoughtfully crafted combinations make Sedjuk a go-to place for those seeking an authentic bakmie experience.
Aside from the bakmie, Sedjuk also shines with their delectable rice bowls. One standout dish is their sambal matah rice bowl. The sambal matah, a traditional Balinese condiment made with shallots, chili, and lime, adds a zesty kick that complements the fragrant rice and perfectly cooked proteins. It's a dish that truly showcases the restaurant's commitment to preserving traditional Indonesian flavors, and it will undoubtedly leave your taste buds dancing with joy.
While the bakmie and rice bowls steal the spotlight, Sedjuk doesn't neglect the importance of traditional snacks. From crispy spring rolls to savory dumplings, the snacks menu offers a variety of small bites that are perfect for sharing or as appetizers. Each snack is lovingly prepared, using high-quality ingredients and traditional cooking techniques, resulting in a burst of flavors that transport you to the heart of Indonesian culinary traditions.
To complement your meal, Sedjuk also offers a range of healthy beverages. Whether you prefer refreshing fruit-infused water, detoxifying herbal teas, or traditional Indonesian drinks you'll find an extensive selection to quench your thirst. These drinks are expertly crafted, balancing flavors and textures to create a refreshing and...
Read more🍲 For the food, "nothing special" are maybe the right words, at this price. We tried the chicken Bakmi & Aglio Olio tuna cheese, both are nothing special. It taste just like any other resto, even you can get same/better Bakmi from steet vendors for cheaper. So for the price it's a bit overpriced IMO. Food portion size is ok, not too much/little.
🐠 The tuna tastes a bit off, it taste like local fish: tongkol instead of tuna, weird. Maybe they actually use local fish. The "pasta" actually taste like Mie, so I think they use same ingredients as the Bakmi, they even add "bawang goreng & daun bawang" as seasoning on pasta, so it feels like bakmi instead of proper pasta.
🥛 Milkshakes taste ok, the milk, cream & sweetness is on point but there is no ice cream topping as said on the menu. Drinks portion are small & presented in a small plastic cup like takeaway drinks & too much ice, which is not so great at this price range.
🍨For dessert we tried brownies with ice cream topping, ice cream topping is ok, but the brownies is just 1 small pieces, brownies was frozen, & they just gave us a tiny plastic spoon which unable to cut it. Another not so good for the price.
🌳Gotta say the place is quite tidy & clean. Food topping/variation is plentiful, although taste so-so. Paid 203k after tax for 2 dish, 2 milkshake, 1 dessert. Place is ok you have indoor & outdoor choice. Located away from main road. Green vibe with lots of plants.
⌚We came at 2pm on Sunday (at the end of month), the place is very full they rarely have empty table so we were put in a waiting list, for about 15mins. Parking is full too, it's hard to park. Weekend seems to be always crowded & you are given just 60mins dining time after food arrive.
🧐Some reviewer says that they just good at socmed advertising, (maybe they are right) this place is crowded yes (which I don't prefer) but the food taste just very generic. Just another so-so franchise resto. Not interested in coming again,...
Read moreBakmi Sedjuk has always been my top choice for a hearty Mie Ayam meal, and I recently decided to try their Pejaten branch, having frequented their Pos Bloc location.
This branch is notably spacious, offering a serene escape from the busy Kemang streets. It features an outdoor playground for kids and ample parking, enhancing its family-friendly appeal.
My order, as always, included the Bakmie Ayam Oven Garlic Butter and Tahu Lada Garam. The dishes were as delightful as ever, perfectly balancing flavor and texture.
A standout aspect of this location is the attention to detail in their service. The restrooms are well-stocked with sanitary essentials, reflecting their commitment to customer comfort.
Overall, the quiet and peaceful ambiance of Bakmi Sedjuk Pejaten makes it an excellent spot for working remotely or holding meetings. Highly recommended for those seeking a tranquil dining experience amidst Kemang’s...
