No frills, high quality soto daging (beef soto).

I asked what their specialty was and was then recommended their soto daging. So I just ordered that. The soto broth here is saltier and thicker than Solo style sotos, but they are not as thick/cloudy as Makassar style pallubasa. It is still fresh and easy to slurp.

For IDR 52k, they serve a generous amount of beef. All the meat chunks were cut quite large but can still fit in your mouth. The lean meat cuts were tender despite being stringy, but the cuts that have some fat on them were just heavenly.

With 1 portion of rice and a glass of hot tea, my meal only costed IDR 60k!

My parents are from Surabaya which is in Jawa Timur, close to Madura. We went past this place a couple of times but we never actually tried the food until recently. So far, we've came back twice in a week. The food resembles dearly to the original in Madura. We've never found anything like it in Jakarta. We've tried several food from this place such as the soto campur, rujak cingur, and the tahu telor. All of which didn't disappoint.
