Trace Roasting Co. — Restaurant in Jakarta

Wow! It was my 1st time visit to trace roastery but I felt so familiar. It was located (almost) across St.Regis Hotel, this coffee shop oozes sophistication. It has indoor and oitfoor seating area. The indoor looks like a hybrid between a modern gentleman loung meets library. They have plenty choice of coffee beans, local and imported, but there's not much of variation in coffee based beverages (mocktail or blend). However their beans was particularly aromatic (my choice was Gayo Kupas Kismis). That's why I also purchase the roasted beans. I tried their magic blend and the 1st sips of foam has acidic taste, and then the fruitiness kicked in, so it was tender balance between fruit and boldness. The kitchen menu only available after 11 AM, so you could only choose pastries before that. I opt for Bicolor Nutella which basically a croissant with a hint of peanut flavour. For the food menu, it's mostly western food like spaghetti and/or fish n chips. Oh, and when it's too cold with AC i side, you can soak under the sun in its outdoor space, I enjoy their concrete seating which absorb the sun's warmth. it's perfect for outdoor book reading. Warm seat under warm sun, I think that's one of its humble appeal. I would love to visit...

To be honest, the place is easy to reach but hard to find! No distinctive mark to spot this place from outside hahahah just need an extra attention to finally find this.

The place is compact and functional. Seems nice to work from cafe (even though the Wi-Fu is super sloooow) or hangout in small group (if you choose in small indoor area). Their beans are okay! Having tried the espresso based, and the star is Colombia Medellin!!! Super great, it feels smooth and sweet, wow. Truly recommended, trust me hahaha

For the manual brew, we try Sunda Aromanis, Solok Limau and Bali Ulian. Taste ok (although not all notes are blooming), but we are kinda expecting more so yeahhh maybe we could go back again and try Toraja or Gayo instead. Hehehe

The service is awesome, the cake is nice. All staffs are great. Big thanks to security outside that being so kind. Nothing to complain about...

A roaster and coffee shop in Setiabudi area. They have limited indoor area and outdoor smoking area. We ordered iced black, iced white, and magic mushroom. The coffee came first and they were good! I'm not a knowledgeable coffee drinker but I know how I like my coffee, and this place serves good coffee!

The magic mushroom aka breaded mushroom were also surprisingly good. I have low expectation at cafe's food so it was a nice surprise. The mushroom was nicely battered and fried, and the salsa was zesty!

Overall they tick all the good things I want in a coffeeshop, but sadly, parking was a...
