Me and my wife had been craving for authentic turkish dish for quite long. Thank god, we just ended our long-awaited crave last night.
Since we always like breads as an appetizer, we ordered Ozel Kunzulu ekmek and Tereyagli cam fistikli as the starter. We had Hummus as the dip sauce.
And for the main course, we ordered Sultan grill platter, which contained 2 of wide thin breads, lamb patty, beef, and chicken. Sultan grill platter here, was originally contained prawns as well. But we decided to replace it with chicken. So we practically had 4 big chunks of chicken meat.
All of the food we ordered was excellent. All are well-cooked, clean, and so authentic. The Hummus tasted so great. The chickpeas smelled and tasted so good. Beef, and chicken were great. I was surprised that the Lamb was smelled really good and heart-warming. There was no bad-strong-smell-of-mutton i found. All of these kind of meats were so tender and juicy.
I suggest to ask the waiter first about the portion of the food that youād like to order. Because some of the dishes here, comes in a big portion. The price? Well, as a fine dining restaurant located in one of the elite areas in Jakarta, i think their price is still reasonable.
Other than food, and interiors, the service here was also top notch. The lady that served us, was extremely friendly and helpful. We were very pleased to be assisted by her, regardless that most of workers here were indeed friendly, well-mannered, and helpful.
I will definitely recommend this restaurant if youāre really into...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn Saturday I had lunch with a friend in this place, we chose to be seated in the smoking area because we wanted to sit on the sofa, and I saw the staff were busy arranging the table that turned out for some meeting.
One staff accidentally made a mistake, and the owner, a Turkish man wearing a suit slapped the staff in front of everyone including us as customers, followed by some words about the staff can caused some loss for him.
We were shocked to witness such an incident. I don't think physical violence should be normalized in the work environment, especially in front of paying customers.
The food there was not bad, but nothing special for the value of money.
What we ordered:
*Zevtinvagli Humus - it was pretty good, and it comes with bread. Maydonoz salatasi - it's their version of tabouleh. I didn't see any couscous. The taste was not bad but they chopped the tomato and parsley big. *Iskender Kebab - it was okay. *Lamb ezmeli - it was okay. *rice *Ayran natural and lemon squash - it was okay too.
Overall I will rate the food 3/5 and the same for the service, but 1 star for the owner that caused a bad atmosphere. We will never recommend this place to our friends and relatives and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis restaurant have many vegetarian option, i give them credit for this. They prepared it clean (not mixed up meat knife with vegetable) We ordered one apetizer, 2 main course, 2 desert, spend 700k++ and go home with only 50% filled belly, ended up eating instant noodle when i reach home.
The portion was too small. We ordered 1 main course that cost us 150k, what came out really surprise us. 4 chop of potatoes, 46 chop of zuchinni, 4 chop of eggplant, 46 chop of cauliflower.
The taste is not so good, the apetizer and main course all taste too sour. They added vinegar to everything i ate, it will be so much nicer without the vinegar.
Baclava was nice at first but ended up too sweet and we kinda strugle to finish that 3 small cubes.
I am a tea lover, but the turkish tea we ordered is not on my love list, 80k wasted on not refillable non memorable one small pot of tea.
The ambience was good. But not instagramabble. Only good...
