Uma Kopi — Restaurant in Jakarta

Great coffeeshop. I enjoy the time I spent there. I almost got excited when I saw the coffee are served through a regular glass, but for some reason, I got the plastic ones like the usual coffeeshop. So, I don’t know. Maybe it’s only for a selection of coffee?

Interior wise, not too spacious. Just like any other coffeeshops out there. It is a smoking indoor ones, so if you don’t smoke or uncomfortable with smoke, I recommend other places than this. But otherwise, I think they got the exhaust fan or something? Because it definitely didn’t feel stuffy with smoke. I sat at the bar one, facing the baristas, because I came alone.

I came there around 4ish on a Sunday noon. It’s very crowded, the moment I sat down, I don’t think there are any seats left. Baristas are nice, and communicative. Since I didn’t do any work there, I can’t really tell you much about the Wi-fi, but it works. Oh, and for some reason, my phone didn’t get a good signal in there. I don’t know for other providers, but I use XL, and it’s pretty bad.

Their selling point is their indoor smoking system and the turntables, imo. Although, I haven’t got any much chances to look around, since it’s pretty crowded. Music is played at a mid level of volume, so it is definitely comfy to chat around with friends.

For the coffee itself, I ordered one of their signatures, Es Kopi Sugih, which is 30k for the cold one, and 28k for the hot one. Definitely not that affordable. Taste wise, very much mid. Just like any other Kopi Susu out there.

Summing up, if you come here for the experience, I say go for it. Especially, if you like...

I went there on Sunday and it was crowded but the staff is so friendly and offer us some tables. I was there with my friends (3 of us) the table number 1 is too small for us, so we’re moving to sharing table. It’s sharing table and the girl next to me was put her bag and other belongings on that wooden long chair, she’s kinda “side eyes me” with annoying face, but idc cuz its sharing table. But sometimes this type of customer makes other customers feel comfortable and leave bad reviews. I don’t like this kind of behavior, if you don’t want to share the chair, just move or find another place.

The food is good, I ordered Beef rice bowl and the beef is so crispy, soft and easy to chew!! And nasi goreng it was good as well. The matcha it’s not too sweet which is good, but it less the taste of matcha itself, idk why but still good like 7/10 for matcha. Worth the price, with good food, drinks and I love that...

the staff was really rude, me and my gf trying to sit side by side, and we consciously move the table to make it one table. The staff name Hendi reach out to us said that we cannot merge the table if it’s just 2 of us. So i said to him okay its fine, we split the table and I said I will split the bill so i can sit next to my gf. I know its sounds like me and my gf was rude and cranky customer, but look at my photos theres 2 couples in front of me sit next to each other.

2nd thing, i said to them i want to dine in right, i ask for americano but they gave me the dine out version with plastic cup. The same with my gf she got matcha with plastic cup. It was weird for me because everyone is served using glass cup, don't know why the staff did this to us.
