Found this great little family owned Warung in Candidasa. We love authentic Balinese food and these guys nailed it. They have an extensive menu and very well priced. My husband and I chose to share 3 dishes. Normally 3 is just enough for the two of us but the serving sizes at this warung are very generous so two dishes would have been enough, so by the time we got through them we were stuffed, a very happy stuffed. We had spring rolls for starter, (very good) seafood fried noodles (flavour bomb) chicken satay(also very good) and mixed seafood plate (my husband doesn’t normally eat seafood but he loved this) they were all absolutely delicious. Our host Korman was very hospitable and friendly, his beautiful wife cooked our meals and his niece was a great hostess too. We Highly recommend that if you visit Candidasa to pop in and give them a try. You won’t be...
Read moreMy wife and I went to Budis Warung because of the great google maps reviews and were not disappointed.
We are on a roundtrip through Bali at the moment and tried nasi goreng in Ubud, Lovina and various places we visited while being on the road. Budi makes by far the best nasi goreng we had. It is delicious and tastes like home! I can also recommend the fried bananas - nothing like we ever had before, absolutely delicious!
Budi is one of the nicest guys I ever met. I asked if he could tell me where I can find an atm and after realizing it would take me quite some time to walk there he offered to drive me with his motorbike - it was a blast and I got to the atm and back in absolutely no time!
We will certainly come back and I can only recommend everyone who is staying in a hotel nearby to try out this amazing place...
Read moreBased on the excellent recommendations, we chose this warung next to our hotel and were not disappointed. At first glance, the restaurant might seem a bit off-putting, but it is ultimately very charming, local, and family-oriented. The staff is so friendly and tool care of our baby while we were eating. We felt very comfortable. The food was very delicious, especially the Chicken Sambal Matah, which was a true culinary revelation. The fried bananas at the end were also extraordinarily tasty. We plan to eat here a second time because we enjoyed it so much. If you're looking for a local, family-run restaurant, this is the place to go.
Edit
We have now eaten there three times, and it was very good each time. Over the past few weeks, we have tried many warungs, but in our opinion, this one is the...
