Loloan Beach Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Kuta Selatan

We visited the Loloan Bar in Raffles Jimbaran as a group of four adults and two young children. Upon arrival, the staff were very welcoming, and when we explained that we were not hotel guests but would like to have lunch first and then use the facilities for 1-2 hours afterwards, they assured us this would be fine. We even asked directly if there was a minimum spend required to use the facilities, and the staff promised to get back to us.

Lunch itself was excellent with delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere. We spent nearly 4 million IDR, expecting to move to the pool area afterwards, as had been discussed. However, only after paying the bill were we informed that the pool and cabanas were strictly for in-house guests. This was never communicated beforehand, despite us raising the point multiple times.

When we asked for a solution, we were told a manager would come shortly. After waiting 10 minutes, we asked again and the staff replied, “I hope so, he’s coming.” After another 10 minutes passed with no appearance from any manager, we gave up and left, deeply disappointed.

As a regular guest at five-star hotels worldwide, I found this experience shocking. We fully respect hotel policies, but what is unacceptable is the lack of clear communication upfront and the absence of any managerial presence when the situation escalated. For a property carrying the Raffles name, the inability to address such a simple matter (in an empty pool area, no less) shows very weak customer centricity and is simply unacceptable.

A truly disappointing experience, and unfortunately far below the standards expected of a luxury...

We had a very disappointing experience here on the last day of our holiday in Bali. Before our return flight, we wanted to spend a few relaxing hours at a beach club together with our friends and their two small children. For this reason, we chose this hotel and made sure to confirm with the staff in advance that we could have lunch and then use the pool afterwards. They assured us that this was absolutely possible.

Based on this confirmation, we ordered lunch and spent over 4 million IDR. However, when we finished and wanted to change for the pool, we were suddenly told that non-staying guests are not allowed to use it. This was the exact opposite of what the staff had just told us earlier.

We asked to speak to the manager to clarify the situation. The staff told us the manager was coming, so we waited for 30 minutes under the burning sun with two small children — but he never appeared. Instead, the very same staff members who had confirmed the pool access simply disappeared and avoided any responsibility. No explanation, no accountability, just very poor handling of the situation.

During our entire stay in Bali, this was the only negative experience we had. Unfortunately, it was a deeply disappointing one. Despite the stunning views and the excellent food, the very poor and unprofessional customer service completely ruined what should have been a short, enjoyable experience before our flight. I celebrated my birthday at Loloan Beach Bar and Grill, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable birthdays I've ever had. As my husband and I arrived, we were warmly greeted by the staff's friendly smiles, which instantly made us feel welcome and at home.

Our server, Wishnu, was exceptional—super friendly and attentive, ensuring that our experience was enjoyable from the moment we sat down. He took the time to explain the menu and even offered his personal recommendations, which we appreciated. There was a slight misunderstanding regarding our order, but the team handled it with grace; they quickly apologized and corrected the issue without missing a beat.

To our delight, Chef Adit himself came to our table to check on us, a personal touch that made the experience even more special. The food we ordered was nothing short of delicious; from the perfectly cooked meat to the vibrant, flavorful mocktails, every bite and sip was a delight. The stunning view of the beach as the sun began to set added to the ambiance, and we took countless photos with the staff's help, capturing the beautiful moments.
