I am writing to express my profound disappointment with my recent stay at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran. As a frequent visitor to various Bali 5-star resorts, I must say that my experience at this particular resort was far from satisfactory. I had high expectations, akin to my experience at Six Senses, but unfortunately, my stay at Four Seasons Resort was at the bottom of my list. On the evening of my check-in, I visited Sundara to possibly purchase some bottles of wine or whiskey, and enjoy my first night. Although the outdoor area was quite full, the indoor bar was almost empty, with only two other groups present. However, the hostess attempted to seat us directly next to a table that was already occupied by a guest who had his bare feet on the table. I was not comfortable sitting and eating next to someone with dirty feet on the table, so I asked to be seated at another table. Unfortunately, the table I requested was for a table of four, and the hostess did not allow us to sit here because it was only two of us in my group. The hostess insisted that we could either sit at the table next to Mr. Barefoot or a table in the back without a view. We eventually accepted the latter option in the back, but our experience was further marred when we noticed that other guests, particularly expats who were not staying at the hotel, were seated at the table we had originally requested - their group also only consisted of two pax and another group even one pax, both able to obtain the table we requested but were denied for “only having two pax”. Please be mindful, they also had no reservation. This was frustrating, as we had full intentions of purchasing top-shelf bottles and drinks, yet we were relegated to a less desirable location in the bar and felt very dismissed by the staff. This experience was unacceptable and fell short of the five-star standard that I expected, especially as hotel guest visiting one of their outlets. Despite the apologies from the hotel management and their promises to follow up on my request given to their duty manager, no tangible actions were taken during my stay to address the issue. This was disappointing and left me feeling that the hotel is poorly managed, with untrained staff. Therefore, I do not recommend staying at this resort, as it is not worth the high cost. Additionally, I found the rooms to be outdated, with cobwebs in the light fixtures. The photographs I took show the lights directly above the bed, which seem to not have been cleaned in months. This was an indication of the hotel's laziness and disregard for basic cleaning practices. I found this unacceptable for a 5-star hotel, and the manager responsible for this oversight should be held accountable. The standards at this resort are unacceptable, and I do not intend to stay here again. In summary, my experience at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran was disappointing, and I do not recommend it. The resort's management needs to improve their training and enforce higher standards, particularly in cleanliness and customer service, to provide guests with a truly five-star experience.

We have booked this hotel for the first part of our honeymoon in Bali. Our general experience was great, but at this price bracket and given Four Seasons’ reputation the expectations were high and it could have been better. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and available 24/7 and responding really quickly. Upon arriving we realized that the TV in the room was quite old and had no way of connecting our devices - the staff responded immediately and installed an Apple TV unit at 1AM. Buggy service and room service was also very good. We did have a mixup with a sunbed reservation that has gone missing, but the area manager quickly solved it and blocked a sunbed for us for the remainder of our stay. The garden villa was large and clean, with a small swimming pool with a view of the ocean, an outdoor seating area, bathtub and both indoor and outdoor shower. The lack of a master switch for all the lights was a bit frustrating, but overall the villa was great. Large supply of bottled water in the room (complimentary 10 bottles replenished daily) was a nice touch. The room had some minor wear & tear which should be addressed. The grounds and facilities were very large, well maintained, the gym was a bit small but well equipped. We did not use the spa, as we found it to be overpriced versus other luxury spots we have found around the island. The beach was quite disappointing at it was narrow and wet, but we assume it was due to the tides. The hotel store offers some local antiquities which was quite unique. The biggest issue we found was with the food, which was quite surprising given that a lot of reviews praise the food offer. The breakfast buffet was not included in the villa price, which we found a bit surprising in such a secluded resort (ca. 45 min drive from the trendy spots in Uluwatu). We tried breakfast at both the buffet place and beach bar. The selection of food at the buffet was extensive, but the food quality was mediocre at best. Similarly, at Sundara the eggs had an artificial taste and the fresh orange juice did not really taste fresh. The dinner options were even worse unfortunately - both the buffet (75$ per pax without alcohol) and Sundara offered a frankly unacceptable quality of food at this price range in Bali. Pastas or nasi goreng were borderline inedible. The live cooked crepes at the buffet and the burrata at Sundara were exceptions. This could have passed if this was the only place we visited, but we stayed at 2 different resorts in Bali later and the food at Four Seasons was the worst and most expensive at the same time. The overall impression was still very positive, but for us to come back, the food offer really has to improve. We rented a scooter to travel around the area so had plenty of opportunities to eat outside, but if your goal is to fully relax and stay mostly in the resort, this could be a major setback.

Four Seasons Jimbaran Bali – where do we even begin? It's truly a rarity to find a resort that makes you feel at home from the moment you step through the doors. Initially, we had a reservation for a shorter stay, but due to a change in our plans, we needed to extend our time at Four Seasons. The central reservations and resort staff handled our request seamlessly, and within three hours, our booking was adjusted to include a longer stay along with an impressive room upgrade, bringing our total to 11 nights.||Our experiences over the past 11 nights have been nothing short of extraordinary. The resort team is incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuine in their service. This warmth extends across every department—from housekeeping and food and beverage to the pool, spa, security, and guest relations. Every team member we encountered was approachable, personable, and often remembered our names, which is quite remarkable considering the number of guests they serve.||The quality of this hotel aligns with the high standards expected from a Four Seasons property, but in this case, it surpasses those expectations. The resort is impeccably maintained, and despite being nearly 33 years old, it feels as fresh and youthful as ever.||The spa and wellness centre is a standout feature, offering exceptional treatments. As avid fans of massages and spa experiences, we have visited numerous hotels and standalone spas worldwide, but the spa here is, without a doubt, the best we've experienced. Every treatment we received was superb, with the standard menu being thoughtfully customised to fit our individual needs. We would like to extend special thanks to the entire spa team, especially FIAN, an outstanding male therapist whose attentiveness, kindness, and passion for his work made our massages truly remarkable.||During our 11-night stay, we dined at the resort for 8 of those nights. The culinary team went above and beyond to accommodate our preferences, often customising the menu to provide us with a delightful variety of options. Our heartfelt thanks goes out to all the restaurant staff, particularly JC (Guest Relations), Michel (F&B Director), Newi (Sundara Manager), and Puerdo (F&B Manager), who took exceptional care of us throughout our time here. We would also like to give a nod to Sila for his attentive service at Sundara.||While enjoying the resort, make sure you try the hideaway bar, 'Telu.' This gem is not advertised hugely by the hotel, so it truly is a hidden treasure. Be sure to find it and meet Paul, the manager, and his team, who will ensure you receive the finest service and great cocktails—some even bespoke! A special thanks to Paul for introducing us to the delightful English breakfast tea cocktail!||The resort features numerous pools, but our favorite relaxation spot was the main pool deck at Sundara. The exceptional service from the pool team continued here as well. The moment you finish a glass of water, a fresh one is already on its way. A special shoutout goes to Seni, a remarkable team member whose professionalism, friendliness, and attentiveness made our poolside experience unforgettable. His positive energy and contagious smile make him a standout star at the property, and I truly hope he receives recognition for his exceptional contributions.||To round off our stay at the Four Seasons, tonight we will be enjoying a special dinner. This is a thoughtful gesture by the F&B team, with a tailored menu just for us, we have been made to feel truly like VIPs as we were approached to enjoy this special dinner at a secret location organised by the team.||We could go on and on writing, and we feel bad not to mention everyone in our review as we have not encountered one team member who is not going above and beyond. We have been fortunate to travel for both business and pleasure over the years and have stayed at some superb resorts and properties around the world, but I have to say this place is very special. As cliché as it sounds, we genuinely do not want to leave. I am unsure how the experience we have had here can be matched elsewhere, as the past 11 nights have been fantastic. I rarely write hotel reviews, as I feel they can influence people for the wrong reasons. However, since one of the businesses we run is a travel company (Open Suitcase Holidays Ltd), we believe that credit must be given where it is truly deserved, and only good should be written in a review. If you have negatives, it is best to address them with the hotel management first before adding them to review sites.||If you are looking to relax until you are horizontal and seeking impeccable service, please make a booking at the Four Seasons Jimbaran.||WE...

This is by far one of the most beautiful and exquisitely stunning resort in the world. Everything was absolutely stunning - the lobby, the restaurants, the pools, the villas, the landscaping. But most of all, every single staff member from the greeting at our arrival, front desk, concierge, restaurant staff, gardeners, housekeeping -everyone was kind, courteous, pleasant and couldn't do enough to make our stay as pleasant and as memorable as possible.

And the views!! Everywhere we turned, there was another more magnificent and breathtaking view of the water, the landscaping, the lobby, the pools, the beautiful temples.

The entire resort is little villas and it really doesn't matter which one you pick - they are all absolutely stunning! The rooms, the decor, the outdoor shower, the private pools, the little sitting area where I enjoyed my morning latte.... everything was amazing.

Add to that world class restaurants, incredible and attentive wait staff, fun bars/lounges (loved Telu!!) and a stunning sunset every night from Sundara - you have the makings of an incredible and memorable vacation.

The resort has a chat and the staff responding are amazing - prompt, courteous, professional and always going above and beyond to exceed your expectations.

All of the staff were amazing, but there are definitely some special people who deserve to be highlighted:

Aziz - we couldn't have asked for a nice, kinder and more helpful driver and guide. We had Aziz to guide us to Uluwatu Temple and several stops along the way; when the original plan didn't work out, he was so helpful to offer alternate plans. At the Temple he stood in line to get our tickets so we could walk around and enjoy the temple. My daughter wasn't feeling well that day and desperately needed to lie down and he thoughtfully offered a short cut to get back to the hotel and saved the day! Aziz is so sweet, patient and accommodating!

Suri - Chef at Jala, wonderful culinary teacher, market guide and fantastic storyteller! We absolutely loved our day at the fish market and culinary class!! Suri was so kind, patient and knowledgeable, had wonderful stories to share, told us more about Bali and helped us make one of the best meals I've ever had in my life! Thank you for the "special sauce" recipe!

Dwi at Alu - so thoughtful, attentive and helpful on our first day at the resort!

Atik - I loved listening to her tell us about the fire ceremony in which we participated, her explanation of the different gods in the temple. Her beautiful, peaceful presence is pure joy.

Savatri - so helpful and so thoughtful and you take amazing pictures for the ceremonies! Thank you for helping us create wonderful memories with the pictures.

Dewi - my lovely massage therapist at the spa - so gracious and lovely with the touch of an angel!

Karianna - (name spelling? sorry) - we did the yoga class on the Saturday night with the sun beginning to set in the background

Rama at Telu - thank you for the fantastic chat and sharing your knowledge of the resort and the different drinks.

Jaya at Alu - thank you for taking the time to clean my daughter's sunglasses that were smudged with sunscreen - what a kind and thoughtful gesture - it was so appreciated!

Budi and Oya at Alu - so helpful, courteous and pleasant - made our afternoon snacks a joy!

Martini at Concierge - thank you for the very thoughtful gesture of the coconuts to help my daughter feel better! Your kindness and thoughtfulness were greatly appreciated!

Sunny at Sundara - (name spelling?) - thank you for sharing your pride in Bali and making suggestions for where we should visit.

Housekeeping staff - thank you for our spotless room and stunning gardens and pool!

Wait staff in all the restaurants - your genuine smile, thoughtfulness, and attention to our needs was above and beyond our...

Aziz is so sweet, patient and accommodating!|Suri - Chef at Jala, wonderful culinary teacher, market guide and fantastic storyteller! We absolutely loved our day at the fish market and culinary class!! Suri was so kind, patient and knowledgeable, had wonderful stories to share, told us more about Bali and helped us make one of the best meals I've ever had in my life! Thank you for the "special sauce" recipe!|Dwi at Alu - so thoughtful, attentive and helpful on our first day at the resort!|Atik - I loved listening to her tell us about the fire ceremony in which we participated, her explanation of the different gods in the temple. Her beautiful, peaceful presence is pure joy.|Savatri - so helpful and so thoughtful and you take amazing pictures for the ceremonies! Thank you for helping us create wonderful memories with the pictures.|Dewi - my lovely massage therapist at the spa - so gracious and lovely with the touch of an angel!|Karianna - (name spelling? sorry) - we did the yoga class on the Saturday night with the sun beginning to set in the background|Rama at Telu - thank you for the fantastic chat and sharing your knowledge of the resort and the different drinks.|Jaya at Alu - thank you for taking the time to clean my daughter's sunglasses that were smudged with sunscreen - what a kind and thoughtful gesture - it was so appreciated!|Budi and Oya at Alu - so helpful, courteous and pleasant - made our afternoon snacks a joy!|Martini at Concierge - thank you for the very thoughtful gesture of the coconuts to help my daughter feel better! Your kindness and thoughtfulness were greatly appreciated!|Sunny at Sundara - (name spelling?) - thank you for sharing your pride in Bali and making suggestions for where we should visit.|Housekeeping staff - thank you for our spotless room and stunning gardens and pool!|Wait staff in all the restaurants - your genuine smile, thoughtfulness, and attention to our needs was above and beyond our...
