UNIQUE Rooftop Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Kuta Selatan

We went to the restaurant for lunch. The staff were attentive and the service itself was great at first. Unfortunately, the food experience was where things fell apart.

We ordered a set menu (which I believe was intended to be a course meal). After the first course was served, we waited almost 40 minutes for the second dish, which never came. During this time, we noticed that other tables who ordered well after us were already receiving their food. That’s when we realized something was wrong and asked the server about it.

The server came back about five minutes later with some explanations that were a bit unclear, but the bottom line seemed to be that our order was delayed. Our second dish finally arrived about 15 minutes after that.

Visually, the dish looked beautiful, and the flavors were there, but the texture told a different story—it was extremely dry. It honestly felt like the kitchen had prepared our food earlier but forgot to send it out, then possibly reheated it (maybe in a microwave) once they realized the mistake. That kind of dryness usually only happens when food sits too long or is reheated improperly.

When we asked again why the food was delayed, the only response we received was simply, “It got delayed,” without any further explanation. I think the restaurant needs a better protocol for situations like this. Mistakes happen. Everyone is human, and it’s understandable if the kitchen overlooks an order. But when that happens, clear and honest communication with customers is crucial.

And if the food really was reheated, I hope the restaurant reconsiders that practice. If a dish is delayed, it’s much better to be upfront with the customer and prepare a fresh plate, rather than sending out something that’s been sitting and reheated.

And also dessert was served late again… it took about more than 20 minutes after the main course, which took whole lunch course meal almost 2...

Incredible lunch with a view – Mexican food, rooftop vibes & a hidden pool!

We had such a great time at UNIQUE Rooftop Bar & Restaurant at AYANA RIMBA! The vibe is super laid-back but stylish, with panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and the lush AYANA RIMBA resort below—truly one of the best rooftop views in Bali.

We came for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by how delicious the Mexican-inspired menu was! We tried: • Quesadillas (Carnitas) – cheesy, crispy, and served with guac, pico de gallo, and sour cream. • Tuna & Tropical Fruit Ceviche – so refreshing, especially with the crunchy banana chips! • Barbacoa de Short Rib – fall-off-the-bone tender and packed with flavor, served with Mexican rice. • Fajitas (Camaron/prawn) – sizzling hot and loaded with all the toppings. • For dessert: Churros con Cajeta and the Tres Leches Cake – both sweet, rich, and the perfect ending.

Service was friendly and fast, and the entire space is beautifully designed—lots of natural wood, open-air seating, and even a rooftop infinity pool! If you plan to come during the day, bring your swimsuit and enjoy a dip with a view—it’s such a hidden gem for relaxing after a meal.

Also looks like the perfect spot for sunset drinks, so we’ll definitely be coming back for that next time. Highly recommend if you’re staying at AYANA or just looking for a scenic lunch spot with great...

We had our honeymoon dinner at UNIQUE Rooftop Bar and were completely blown away by the warm hospitality, breathtaking view, and delicious food. What made our evening truly unforgettable was the personalized card we received — handwritten with the sweetest message and even a cute Shin-chan drawing!

Elsa and Atika from the team made us feel so special and welcomed. Their attention to detail and kindness touched our hearts deeply.

The food was fantastic, the cocktails were refreshing, and the sunset view was absolutely magical. We couldn’t have asked for a better honeymoon experience.

A very special thanks to Atika, who not only made us feel at home with her kind words and small talk, but also kindly guided us on how to get to the airport. As foreigners visiting Bali for the first time, her support and friendliness meant so much to us.
