Visited my favorite comfort place in Bali, Warung Laota. This time we tried their Jimbaran outlet. In this visit for lunch, they aren't too busy, and we decided to ordered their Bubur Sapi Iris (porridge with sliced beef), Kailan Tumis Bawang Putih (stir-fried kale with garlic), Ayam Panggang (roast chicken in Hong Kong style), Sapi Tumis Lada Hitam (stir-fried beef with black pepper sauce) and Udang Krispi Mayonaise (crispy fried king prawn with sauce mayonnaise). As usual their porridge is delicious and never disappointing. Kailan Tumis Bawang Putih is simple and delicious, same goes for their Ayam Panggang and Sapi Lada Hitam. However kinda disappointed with their Udang Krispi Mayonaise, the flour and breaded coating is way too thick in my opinion, so it's really making this dish uncomfortable to eat (hopefully they do some improvement for this menu seasoning and ingredients). Overall, it's a pretty satisfying meal from Warung Laota Jimbaran. For this visit to Warung Laota Jimbaran, i'm gonna rate them 3.5 out of 5. For more info about foods, kindly visit asmunchkin on IG.

I knew this place when they first open at cikarang Jababeka 2. This place is a legend for steamed shrimp with minced garlic, fish steamed and rainbow porridge. They don't accept reservations, walk in only. Some other porridge that taste good too is the crab porridge. Porridge lovers will like it here. Roast Duck have good flavor but the duck is just too thin. A few negative things about this place, is the cleanliness problem, the menu book was sticky, I suggests you need to wipe & clean it. The table was also stiky & dirty, we need to wipe it with wet tissue and the tissue became dirty. Last the tissue compartment was broken, the bottom part of the tissue box was broken so it was messed up when i lift the tissue box. But it's still a good porridge restaurant.

0.1 Star Rating. My friends and I were so excited to have Chinese Food at Laota and we were SEVERELY disappointed. The service was horrible (lady staffs had attitude) , fish was undercooked - which was freshly caught but the flavour was bland and it was one the most expensive things on the menu. I had a stomach ache not long after eating the raw fish. Three things we ordered didn’t come and they brought out one vegetable dish that we didn’t order which we still had to pay for. When my friend asked for where the chicken was to the staff 3 times, the staff then proceeded to roll her eyes. Which I then called the supervisor to express our frustrations and they hadn’t even cooked the chicken yet (we waited two hours for this to come, and it wasn’t even cooked!😅). Was such an expensive dinner and it really wasn’t worth the money or the time. No compensation for anything. Would NEVER come back and would highly NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone craving good & wholesome Chinese food. By far one of the worst dine in experiences I’ve had with friends since we’ve been to Bali.

This is my 1st time visit Laota Jimbaran, i heard a lot that they have the best Congee and i would give a try, and it was an excellent choice!!! I ordered Pelangi Congee, Shrimp Hakau, and Cakwee, all are amazing! It didnt take so long, be careful for the congee...cause it's extremely HOT!!😁 I burned my tongue tho, i admired their congee bowl pretty sure the material is great to keep temperature hot, just constructive feedback, the staff missing to bring the sweet thai chill sc for my hakau, and i just realized after 2pcs left, and ask for it. Service could be better especially the Security/ Greeter man in front, and the cashier can do fond farewell will be better. Overall was amazing, i left the restaurant with preggo Belly, Lol!

Keep coming back here whenever we’re in Bali. I am enjoying the food in here, especially the porridge and the famous dim sum. Some of the dim sum are very tasty, like the vegetarian ones as well as the chicken feet. I also enjoyed the seafood porridge, fried shrimp, and steamed fish. They have many seats, at the lower as well as upper floor. Going up is using the stairs, so it can be a bit tricky for those with wheelchairs. But the entrance is friendly for person with disabilities or those using wheelchairs ♿️. Fish are fresh so you can choose them directly from the available tank or aquarium and cook them to your liking. The parking can be a bit tricky during peak hours, because spots are available, but not too many.

There are numerous kinds of Chinese cuisines out there but in this particular category - let's call it Indonesian Cantonese - i think this restaurant checks all the boxes. □ Ample seating □ Family friendly □ lively environment, late night operation, helpful staff □ Food came within 10 minutes of ordering □ Variety was excellent: Lots of non spicy options □ Flavourful dishes with not too much oil □ Comfortable price point Best dishes? Other than their famous roast duck and amazing prawns, i wpuld vote for the vegetables. Don't be a typical tourist and order everything with belachan. The qing chao options (fried with garlic or oyster sauce) are absolute stunners. Go on. Delight your tastebuds
