Visited my favorite comfort place in Bali, Warung Laota. This time we tried their Jimbaran outlet. In this visit for lunch, they aren't too busy, and we decided to ordered their Bubur Sapi Iris (porridge with sliced beef), Kailan Tumis Bawang Putih (stir-fried kale with garlic), Ayam Panggang (roast chicken in Hong Kong style), Sapi Tumis Lada Hitam (stir-fried beef with black pepper sauce) and Udang Krispi Mayonaise (crispy fried king prawn with sauce mayonnaise). As usual their porridge is delicious and never disappointing. Kailan Tumis Bawang Putih is simple and delicious, same goes for their Ayam Panggang and Sapi Lada Hitam. However kinda disappointed with their Udang Krispi Mayonaise, the flour and breaded coating is way too thick in my opinion, so it's really making this dish uncomfortable to eat (hopefully they do some improvement for this menu seasoning and ingredients). Overall, it's a pretty satisfying meal from Warung Laota Jimbaran. For this visit to Warung Laota Jimbaran, i'm gonna rate them 3.5 out of 5. For more info about foods, kindly visit...
Read more0.1 Star Rating. My friends and I were so excited to have Chinese Food at Laota and we were SEVERELY disappointed. The service was horrible (lady staffs had attitude) , fish was undercooked - which was freshly caught but the flavour was bland and it was one the most expensive things on the menu. I had a stomach ache not long after eating the raw fish. Three things we ordered didn’t come and they brought out one vegetable dish that we didn’t order which we still had to pay for. When my friend asked for where the chicken was to the staff 3 times, the staff then proceeded to roll her eyes. Which I then called the supervisor to express our frustrations and they hadn’t even cooked the chicken yet (we waited two hours for this to come, and it wasn’t even cooked!😅). Was such an expensive dinner and it really wasn’t worth the money or the time. No compensation for anything. Would NEVER come back and would highly NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone craving good & wholesome Chinese food. By far one of the worst dine in experiences I’ve had with friends since we’ve...
Read moreHad the crab with eggs porridge. The waited said it was meant for 4-5 people. Well, me and my wife finished them alone. And we also had beef porridge, fried fish (meh), ice cream, cakue (pretty good) etc. The most disappointing thing is the crab porridge. They say the crab is 400-500 grams, 70rb per 100 gram?? Thing is, the crab came cracked. But you barely see any meat in the porridge. If you eat the meat with the porridge, you won't even be able to differentiate it from the porridge texture wise. They are dispersed in the porridge as small 1.5cm string like strands of meat. You won't taste it. But there are still meat intact in the pincers and some part of the leg. And the eggs? You know how crab eggs are usually clumped together in the tens of thousands. Well, here there are probably fifty 0.5mm eggs dispersed in the porridge. The other 9,950 eggs are nowhere to be seen. The beef porridge lso probably only have 10 grams of meat, or less. The only good thing here is the cakue. It is...
