Warung Made's — Restaurant in Kuta Selatan

I like visiting warungs to support local businesses. But this place is not good at all. In order to avoid misunderstanding I spoke Indonesian, so there was not a lack of communication. Just a poor service!

Asked for juice, got water with a hint of juice instead. Taste awful! When I complained to that, the owner said I had to pay more to get the juice. Well, I don’t mind to pay more but please write it honest in the menu! Your menu says “fresh juices” and you confirmed that! Write the price you want for the juice or tell honestly your juice will be 85% of water based! It’s not what people are willing to pay for, usually!

The French fries he would plate just with hands! No glows, just like that! Very anti sanitary! If cutleries are falling down - no washing, he just kept using it, like nothing happened!

Asked for a not spicy curry, (he confirmed- TIDAK PEDAS) got one with chilly. With my stomach it’s a ticket to the hospital! Somehow they believe chilly is not spicy probably.

One of the more modern looking warung serving a mix of Indonesian and western food. The place is clean. 2 adults, 2 kids. We ordered nasi goreng special, cap cay, plain pasta, french fries, mixed sate plate, and a Bintang. Overall 4 stars because while the food is good, it could have been more flavorful.
