Backyard Seminyak Restaurant — Restaurant in Kuta

Faulty Towers. Walk past, don't come in! Most of the staff are nice, well except for the lady that didn't believe that we had been served whipped cream instead of sour cream with our quesadillas, until she stuck her finger in it and tried it! SERIOUSLY, WTF?

She then disappeared with the whipped cream never to reappear.

I eventually walked the plate back to the kitchen and asked for it to be replaced. They did. The cheese included was haloumi or Mozarella!!! Again, seriously???? WTF???

Now all this followed an order of Margaritas. Pffft. What was served was a tequila and lime juice. That was sent back. The bartender replaced it and apologised. It was better, but mediocre. A Margarita has Cointreau or Triple Sec. In the drink. Walking past holding the bottle doesn't count.

Did I mention the wait? Well, if you come here, expect a long wait for the food. Calling it food is being generous.

Pizzas... We asked how big they were. I'll skip to the chase, she had no idea and said they were huge and they weren't. But hey, whatever... The pizza was OK.

The beef tarquitos were a long strip of overcooked steak off cut and uneatable.

All in all I have no idea how this restaurant manages to stay in business.

The food is sad. The drinks a joke.

The staff are very polite and attentive.

So, my advice as a Level 9 Google Local Guide with 1000 reviews and 25 million photo views.

Avoid at all costs unless you want a Bintang.

I can't give this restaurant zero stars, or I would.

Berjalan melewati, jangan masuk! Sebagian besar staf baik, kecuali untuk wanita yang tidak percaya bahwa kami telah disajikan krim kocok bukannya krim asam dengan quesadillas kami, sampai dia memasukkan jarinya ke dalamnya dan mencobanya! SERIUS, WTF?

Dia kemudian menghilang dengan krim kocok untuk tidak pernah muncul kembali.

Saya akhirnya berjalan piring kembali ke dapur dan meminta itu diganti. Mereka lakukan. Keju yang disertakan adalah haloumi atau Mozarella !!! Anain, serius ???? WTF ???

Sekarang semua ini mengikuti perintah Margarita. Pffft. Apa yang disajikan adalah jus tequila dan jeruk nipis. Itu dikirim kembali. Bartender menggantinya dan meminta maaf. Itu lebih baik, tapi biasa-biasa saja. Margarita memiliki Cointreau atau Triple Sec. Di dalam minuman. Berjalan melewati memegang botol tidak masuk hitungan.

Apakah saya menyebutkan menunggu? Nah, jika Anda datang ke sini, berharap menunggu lama untuk makanan. Menyebutnya makanan murah hati.

Pizza ... Kami bertanya seberapa besar mereka. Saya akan melompat ke pengejaran, dia tidak tahu dan mengatakan mereka besar dan mereka tidak. Tapi hei, apa pun ... Pizza itu OK.

Tarquitos daging sapi adalah potongan panjang steak matang dan tidak dapat dimakan.

Semua dalam semua, saya tidak tahu bagaimana restoran ini berhasil tetap dalam bisnis.

Makanannya menyedihkan. Minumannya bercanda.

Staf sangat sopan dan penuh perhatian.

Jadi, saran saya sebagai Panduan Lokal Google Level 9 dengan 1000 ulasan dan 25 juta tampilan foto.

Hindari sama sekali biaya kecuali Anda menginginkan Bintang.

Where to start......this is a long review

I have been here 3 times since it reopened 2 months ago (btw, I live in Australia and travel to Bali often). The first 2 visits were ok but the 3rd, disgraceful.......and that is being polite!

We were greeted nicely, menu's presented and our order taken in a timely manner, and that is where it ends.....when a group of people go out for dinner we like to eat together, not separately as was the case tonight.....

Satay Illit x 2..... 1 meal served with 6 sticks and dipping sauce, the 2nd with 5 sticks and no dipping sauce, the 2nd was sent back only to be returned 15 minutes later exactly as it was originally served, 5 sticks and no sauce, by this time the 1st one was cold and we ate separately! A lame excuse offered, apparently the meal is based on size!

Gado Gado x 2...... 1 presented like a meal for children, not the traditional way and not freshly prepared..... Subsequently, the 2nd was cancelled.

Spaghetti Bolognese for 1 of our children (14 yrs) was to quote "ok".

The other 2 children had fried rice and it was just passable!

Over half an hour after we finished eating and the table was not cleared, yet there were only a few tables occupied in total, so not a busy night.

2 Small Bintang beers @ 50,000 each!

And a bill of 620,000 IDR was presented!

This place needs a huge kick in the ar*e....

I have reviewed many restaurants over my years as an Executive Chef, (look at my profile) I am honest with my reviews, GOOD or in this case BAD. This is a competitive industry and I believe honesty is the only way to write reviews and make Management (s) accountable.

We left disgusted and went elsewhere to continue our dinner.......

The shift "manager Mr Oky" is a joke! I spoke with him at length and no satisfactory result, hence this review.

To be fair on the table staff, they were nice enough.

I have also contacted the Manager, Mr Agung directly and I am waiting his reply.

Give this place a miss, it is overrated and on the more expensive side for restaurants in Seminyak

Politeness worth more than their service charges! Long journey in this review but take notes please! We've looked for a bar from the first place, saw this place busy we fall with our curiousity. Check the menu in the front and decided to came in, they offer me to sat inside, it make sense cz every tables in terrace are full already. They didn't have air conditioner but still offered us a fan instead. They have air condition in the rest room, it's the cleaness rest room we've ever used. We just want to ordered drink, lot of choices, one of them came to explain the petals included in their tea, but we decided to ordered two basic teas. Everything seems perfect, we not sure what they struggled about we still sat while enjoyed the tea, seems crowded so we paid straight to the cashier. One of them, the girl who explain the tea for us kept appologized even we're not complaint, she said sorry for not gave us their best services that day cz everything out of their control. I think everythings fine, so that's why I said the politeness the staff have seems like worth to 100% service charges!!!! This isn't our first time visited Bali but still worth it to come again and again. But we never saw someone who really down to earth like this. This is our very last night in Bali told us to come to this...
