Have been eating at Gosha since 1988. Raymond was a very proud well dressed gentleman, staff extremely well presented. Food absolutely 💯 sensational, service absolutely sensational. After the new location and Raymond's retirement, handing a extremely successful business over to his son, who in the early 90's was sucking his thumb. The hand full of times we returned, things seemed to slowy go downhill, our last visit his motorcycle was parked in the main dinning room, tonight the signature coconut cocktail with only 3 people we were told wait I think we have sold out no stock. I asked for the boss, owner to come down stairs, as he lives upstairs of the restaurant, purchased by the great man Raymond, he would not xome down knowing who we are. Clearly sitting upstairs sucking is thumb once again. No pride he what he had been given, please don't wast your time and spoil your night out while spending good money on your holiday. Close the restaurant in respect to your great father Raymond, don't kill the name he built with love and passion. Big fat...
Read moreThe food here was pretty good. Not great, but not bad, either. My husband and I ordered an appetizer and two entrees, including the Prawn Curry Rice... Which had no prawns. It did have three whole overcooked pieces of shrimp, though. The flavor was nice. The other entree was a vegan/veggie dish with watercress, which I did enjoy. My husband had a screwdriver while I opted for a mojito. We're absolutely sure there was no alcohol in either. No biggie, but next I decided to order a glass of wine. Now, in the past I've ordered and received wine that's on it's way to vinegar. This wine was vinegar months ago. It was the worst thing I have ever had in my mouth (okay...one of the top five). Our waitress apologized and asked if I wanted to try another cocktail, I said bottled water would be perfect. She did bring me another glass of the same wine to try again... From the same bottle. I sniffed it and knew it was no good... But she insisted I take a sip... 🤪 It was from the same bottle!!!...
Read moreRestaurant advertised take away. Pressed for time I ducked in for some fish and chips and spring rolls. Only 3 tables occupied so anticipated quick turn around. 45 mins later my take away arrived. During that time I observed the service, or lack there of, provided to the other tables. Nothing seemed to be happening. One lady walked in off the street, sat down, then walked out again as she was not attended to by any staff. Another table of 5 had one dish delivered. The diner finished his meal before the next dish was provided. When I finally received my meal and returned to the hotel I was completely underwhelmed by the quality of food. I'm not sure what the spring rolls where but they didn't remotely resemble the advertised picture. I did receive fish and chips as requested. 1peice of fish, 9 chips, and a token amount some washed out looking salad/veg. I advise walking on to...
