Burger Bangor — Restaurant in Kuta

Here’s my honest review of this place.

Ordered the food through Grab and it arrived in about 15-20 minutes, which was great.

We ordered different kinds of burgers for a variety. If I’m being honest, most of the burgers tasted the same, besides the smoked BBQ, it had the taste of bbq sauce on it, which was nice.

The burgers are very small, so if you’re a big eater, you can probably go through 3-4 easily. They’re almost like a slider, but a little bigger, so be aware of this.

We asked for no salad (i.e. lettuce or tomato) just due to the cleanliness of the water in Bali and how they was their greens, they ignored that message but it was probably due to language barrier. We ended up taking out the tomato and lettuce ourselves as we didn’t want to risk getting sick. We also took Travelan before eating (look into this, it’s a life saver). We noticed the burgers were also oily, so another thing to be aware of.

The hot chips were nice with the sambal sauce (sweet spicy sauce).

Overall, we thought this place was a restaurant but it’s almost like a little shop, so we wanted to play it safe and not get sick. The food was well presented and packaged well.

If I’m being honest, I probably wouldn’t eat here again just given it was super basic and nothing wow. Nothing against the owner, they do the best they can, but this didn’t hit that sweet spot.

The service was very friendly. There were 4 stools and 2 little tables for sitting outside. There is no indoor seating. Our meal came with a coke but the coke was warm. They didn't have any cold ones. When I asked for ice they put some ice in a cup for me. You are sitting on the side of a busy road. If you live close by you might want to get take away. I ordered a grab and didn't expect the quality to be good and usually when you get a grab the temperature can be low. But no. Quality and heat when it arrived thanks to the insulated bag the restaurant put it in. I got a huge discount from grab for the order but I'd be happy be pay full price. Tasty and best burger yet.
