Marilyn Kitchen & Cafe Bali — Restaurant in Kuta

I cannot say enough about this wonderful little family owned place in Jalan Kubu Anyar, Tuban, Kuta South.

Located just across a Swiss-Belhotel, the Ananthera Resort, this place was beyond my expectations.

They have a selective variety of tasty Indonesian and western food at very affordable prices, their coffee and iced-coffee mixes are superb, a good selection of cocktails too, along with Bintangs, very friendly and attentive staff, and most of all a warm, affable and welcoming manager, Jeremy.

From the word go, Jeremy and his staff, a few who speak English, want to know about your interest in food, allergies, spicy levels, style of food, types of drinks and coffee taste. And then they go all out to make sure that your experience with them is a pleasant and enjoyable one.

They make you feel like you are a long-time friend visiting, calling you by name and welcoming you with so much warmth and joy.

Jeremy’s father and mother, are present in the cafe too and help out with the drinks and food, and they also are so easy to talk to, and though their English is limited, they want to know more about you and make you feel at home with them.

I enjoyed my many conversations with Jeremy and his mom. Love this place. I went there for my coffees and most of my meals.

This place is a must visit, family owned, cafe named Marilyn Kitchen and Cafe, Bali. The place is a gem!

Tasty food, fantastic selection of coffee and cold drinks (including cocktails, a variety of coffee mixes, fruit juices and of course Bintang! too) And everything is reasonably priced.

The team is so friendly and looks into all your specific dietary needs.

Jeremy, who speaks fairly good English and manages the cafe, was keen to ask if I had any allergies and concerns about food and when I told him what they were he instructed the kitchen staff to make all my food to my needs. He also does the drinks and is very creative with them.

He, together with his staff, are very welcoming, attentive, friendly, humble and gentle in their service that makes you want to visit them again because they make you feel belonged.

So…so..good.. had a great closest fine dining experience. The menu is so unique and carefully curated. The waiters, they will ask your preference in meat you can opt in or opt out few ingredients from the menu, it’s totally a great thing for me since I have children under eight, I got them customised as per their palate. We had Nasi goreng chicken, Mee goreng seafood, French fries, club sandwich, Alio e olio (extremely authentic and the pasta is al dente will personal give 5 stars for that) and for drinks we have ordered chocolate milkshake and classic mojito(our favourite). Then, the ambiance it’s so commendable mild music not so soft and not so loud, aesthetically appealing, and the lights are perfectly aligned for a picture perfect evening.
