Paulies Kitchen & Bar — Restaurant in Kuta

Dropped in as the hotel (200yrds away) had a poor after 7pm Menu. Chose a cheese burger as I was hungry. Plus a Bintang. Staff very Friendly and despite it being quiet this place was OK. Didn't wait long for my food - well long enough to order another beer - which was cool - when it came out was a very nice size burger. Taste and filings excellent. A ripper little spot with authentic Aussie food. Cheapest coldest beer in Bali, especially the Singaraja Pilsner, my pick over a Bintang any day for only 20,000 rp ($2) ...started with brekky, which was probably the most genuine no frills spread, just like mum would cook....a few more beers....then had the rotisserie chicken, basted in Vegemite! delicious, tender, and well worth the $7 AU for half a chook...down to...

It's a very small bar and the staff are friendly, but the staff and customers smoke and you can't get away from it so if you're a non-smoker it's not a good place to go.
