Stakz Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Kuta

a regular of a big cafe nearby ( amazing service & attentive and super friendly staff there ), and saw this place when I passed by and decided to give it a try. the price is not the cheapest around but portion was good, food was delicious I ordered the ribeye steak and a drink. the problem was there is a DIFFERENCE on how they treat the local and foreign guest, big one. the moment I walked in, this particular lady ( I don’t know her name ) looked at me from head to toe, no warm hello or greetings not even a hi. other staff were okay, friendly enough — not as friendly as to foreign guests tho this particular lady didn’t take my order but delivered the food to the table, and I swear the way she talked to me was very off and cold, and a bit impolite from the intonation and the way she asked. also no-one checked to make sure everything is good, and the staff didn’t say thank you when you walked out ( only thank you when you paid and the lady was nice actually we had a bit of chit chat ) which was weird because they did that to ALL the foreign guests bcs I stayed there for 1.5 hour so I knew. like we paid the same money, why would you treat your own people differently? I hope the owner can bring this to attention and work this out because as someone that has business in service I would say this will give impact for sure as I believe there are and will be other local guests visiting as well. l won’t...

I had lunch here today and was genuinely impressed. I ordered the fettuccine carbonara, a lemon iced tea, and a Nutella coconut milkshake—everything was delicious!

The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. As soon as I arrived, I was welcomed with a cold towel, which was a thoughtful touch given the heat outside. I came here to get some online work done, and the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. The café is quiet and not overcrowded, making it the perfect spot to focus or just relax.

The fettuccine was super creamy, and the coconut milkshake was basically dessert in a glass—definitely photo-worthy! I’ve attached pictures so you know what to expect.

The interior has a charming rustic-modern style, giving off a cozy Bali vibe. One highlight is the beautiful wall mural with the hanging lamp—really eye-catching.

Price-wise, it’s very reasonable. I’ve been to many cafés in Kuta with similar prices, but this one stood out for its flavor and generous portions.
