There's no AC, but there were plenty of fans. I had a Paket 1: whole grilled chicken, veg with sambal, 2 pcs deep fried tofu, plein rice, and an iced tea for 85k plus 10% 'tax'. Indonesian chicken seem to be small, so it was a good portion for 1 person. Despite asking me how spicy I wanted, they all arrived suspiciously quickly in 10 min: tofu was freshly fried, but the chicken felt it was grilled an hour ago. A huge disappointment after watching Mark Wiens video of Lombok ayam taliwang, where chicken was freshly grilled and sizzling. I've never seen such food stalls in Kuta, so I may need to go to Lombok. Food was all tasty however, and I liked the coconut curry dipping sauce.
I don't know if this was normal or I needed to request to have my chicken reheated on the grill. It was before 6 during Ramadan, so there were few other customers.
