SUPER Rude n it’s a Tourist Trap, food was super expensive compared to the stores beside, we wanted to change stores but they were quick to ask for drinks even before we sat down, so unfortunately we couldn’t switch restaurants, honestly after what we have been through we should have just paid for the drinks n changed restaurants. Restaurants beside were more affordable, gave discounts and had some people dining in. Should have known smthing was not right when this big restaurant was empty whn we reached. For example the restaurant beside, ‘new dewata cafe’, gave us a great discount and had more affordable sets of food for us to choose from. This restaurant however was all sold per kg per fish, which is more expensive… mind you we still had 18 % SERVICE CHARGE & + 3% card transaction charge…… AFTER eating we cheekily jokingly briefly asked for discount when paying the bill, and the lady rudely told us off “ no and where which restaurant will give discount” and we told her the neighbouring restaurant does , she just said “ well u should have just went there instead….next time go that restaurant”. If it were to not be for that horrible customer service , I would not have written this review. Whole family was disappointed and really ruined our day and experience. Not to mention food was bland as well, not...
Read moreWe came for dinner only because of a driver reccommendation. The french fries were good and the drinks were strong which is a positive but the atmosphere wasnt good. While yhe location was good, They had very harsh outdoor lighting, the tablecloths were either dirty or damaged and almost all of the table numbers were damaged in some way. The menus were made of fake leather which was falling apart and flaking, and the waitress told us the top half of the menu was “frozen, but kept on ice so its fresh.” To her credit, she did seem knowledgeable on the different fishes on the menu.
In addition, the inside of the restaurant was quite warm as we walked through despite it being a nice breezy night, and there was a dog roaming around inside that kept scratching itself for fleas.
As an aussie traveller who’s been to my fair share of seafood restaurants the high prices, hygeine concerns, and lack of attention to atmosphere all screamed tourist trap. Me and my friend had a drink each and chips to share then got out of there.
Id reccommend the owner either reevaluate their prices and bring them down, or invest into upkeeping the atnosphere standard patrons would expect to be associated with their pricing. No one wants frozen fish at a premium price when theyre sitting...
Read more0/5 Stars - * Tourist Trap * Victim of Tourist Trap recommend by our Tour guide. Wished I read the reviews before and not trusted the Tour Driver. Disappointing Experience, Overpriced and Unhygienic*
We visited this restaurant with high hopes, but unfortunately, our experience was a letdown. The food was a major disappointment, with the taste being subpar. The service was also poor, with inattentive staff.
The lack of basic amenities like napkins or cloth napkins was surprising, with only small, thin tissues provided. The atmosphere was dull, with no music playing, unlike other nearby restaurants that were bustling with people and music.
To make matters worse, we felt scammed by the seafood pricing and weighting techniques, which is based on KG. We suspect that the weight was not accurate, and we ended up paying more than we should have. The final bill was double what we expected, leaving a sour taste.
The filthy state of the bathrooms was the final nail in the coffin. Overall, our experience was ruined, and we felt like we wasted our money. We would not recommend this...
