Rude and unprofessional staff. Waited almost an hour for the food but not one single apology or explanation. And the food was average and mediocre.
Me and my family had dinner here expecting better food and service from a hotel. At the beginning it was ok we got our drinks.
Half an hour later, we found customers who arrived after us and got lots of food but we had none. Later, our waitress approached our table (presume checking on us) and found that we had no food at all. She went back to the kitchen and 10 minutes later my luke warm fish n chip arrived. It's not like they forgot my order and immediately freshly fried my fish and chips! I guess our food were probably already cooked in the kitchen but the staff had lost track. I am guessing after we asked they found our already cold food and put them under the salamander before taking them out.
So, I first got my fish n chips in around an hour from ordering. Then every 5 to 10 minutes a single dish of my family arrived. Two orders for sirloin steak and chips are quick to make dishes. Chicken curry should be prepared in advance already. But it arrived with 3 pieces of very boney chicken and a watered down curry liquid. It's worse than any grotty warung you can imagine.
Half an hour after my fish n chips, my freshly cooked and hot sad looking sauted mushroom side order arrived. The mushroom were dumped into the bowl. The one you made at home will present better than that.
I see mixed reviews of the food quality so I accept that maybe we turn up on a super busy day and the kitchen had a disaster. What I objected MOST is that there was NOT ONE SINGLE SORRY, apology or explanation of the whole thing. I am not the customer-is-always-right type. If we first sat down, or even half an hour later they came and told us their food would be late, at least I can decide. If they turn up with the food one hour later with a "we are sorry" we would be less pissed off. Yeah they had problems, someone made mistakes. Ok.
But no, when I got the bill and asked the waiter what happened to my food, he argued back and said something like you can go if you don't want to wait. And when I said that "should it be a simple sorry when your restaurant delivered the food one hour after my order?" and he just argued that the kitchen was busy. I know it's not his fault but he is representing the restaurant! And he could see the customers were annoyed. He even "helpfully" filled in the "I'm not coming back to the restaurant" for me although I did not try to insult his intelligence and tell him that I'll be back. SO THATS RUDE TO THE ULTIMATE LEVEL!
To Bingtan Resort: if that's the quality of your hotel staff, you will never be as successful as a Grand Hyatt or Holiday Inn...

We ordered and then for an hour nothing happened until we saw multiple other tables arrive after us, order, and get their food. After asking one waitress to check on food in the kitchens nothing happened, after some time another waitress came over to ask if we were finished (cause we had half empty drink glasses already) and realised we had not received food. She went to check on the food and only after another 10 minutes did the food slowly start to arrive one dish at a time with a few minutes in between and a side dish arriving much later as they seem to have forgotten.
The food itself was not uncooked, and otherwise unremarkable taste wise, though it was mostly cold. For the price range and the fact that it's part of a 5-star hotel, the quality is rather lacking.
When it came to pay the bill, the waiter was decidedly unapologetic even after our complaints and instead defended it saying others also experienced long wait times and had ordered earlier (both statements we knew to be false in at least 2 nearby tables). He ended up saying "fine. just don't come back tomorrow" without ever once saying sorry or being the slightest bit...
