This is my first time in Bali and Indonesia. Upon arrival, I actually walked to the hotel from the airport. I didn't know there was airport transfers. It would be good to advertise it. Check in process was quick and smooth, Arnie at the counter was a standout as he was very experienced, efficient and attentive.
Room had everything I needed, although the design of the one toilet door to separate the shower and other area is not the best if there are more than one person staying in the room. You have good facilities, however walking to one end seems to take forever. Breakfast was something I look forward to, mainly because of your friendly staff who would go around and chat with us. On my first breakfast day, I had to fly to Jakarta at 0905. Somehow I planned my time wrong and I was just wanting to keep to myself as well. But, Nita took some courage and decided to approach me even though I didn't seem to be approachable. After striking a conversation, I told her about my day trip to Jakarta. She alerted me about the time at that moment which was 0815 and that I should head to the airport already. This I can't thank her enough as I had a very important business meeting.
For the next few days, I always look forward to breakfast to see her and your other team, having morning conversations which is great training but also can be very valuable. Housekeeping is always on time and I find them working on the halls most of the day and they are always greeting guests. As for the laundry facility, it needs to be looked at. The wash cycle isn't complete and the token PACKAGE system is not user friendly. Due to the washing machine not finishing the cycle, I had to go back and forth to reception to get tokens etc. I believe that soap liquid or tokens can always be purchased individually instead of a whole package. Because what do I do with leftover tokens or when I just need more liquid soap? Other Holiday Inn Express that I've stayed in has different ways of doing their laundry, I believe yours can improve.
Overall, I rate 9 out of 10 just because of my experience with the...
Read moreWe stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for part of our trip to Bali. It was a pretty good experience. The staff were all very polite and quite helpful. The hotel is very close to the sea and you can easily walk to the beach. The food that was served for the breakfast buffet was excellent. The fettuccine that was served on one of the mornings was great and I really liked the pancakes along with chocolate and peanut butter. The rooms could have been slightly bigger but we were not planning on spending a lot of time in the room anyway. Read moreHad a chance to stay at this hotel on my last night in Bali to unwind and relax before flying back home.
Location wise, it’s near the airport and they have free airport transfer service. Nearby the beach and restaurant even walking distance to a mall.
My room was so clean and i have the right pillows thus a comfortable sleep. Room also was spacious , just the right size for a solo traveller. They also have a rooftop bar (got complimentary welcome drink) with an amazing pool and overlooking spot of the beach. Was also able to do a self-service laundry during my stay.
Breakfast was amazing with lots of options , the best was they have bacon for those pork lovers and this can given to you by request (not on any of their menu)
The only downside is that their in-TV is still outdated wherein some boutique hotels, hostels and independent accomodations alternatives have upgraded to smart TVs. If only they have netflix or TV-casting options the staycation...
