From the moment I stepped into Warung 24-7, I knew I was in for a treat. The bustling atmosphere of the Night Market added an extra layer of excitement to the dining experience. As I perused the menu, I couldn't resist starting with the spring rolls, and they turned out to be the best I've ever had. The crispy exterior and the flavorful combination of vegetables and spices made for an unforgettable appetizer.
Moving on to the main course, I opted for the Mie Goreng, and it was nothing short of exceptional. The stir-fried noodles were cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of sauce and a medley of fresh vegetables that added a delightful crunch. The flavors were bold and harmonious, leaving me craving for more with each bite. My friend decided to try the green curry, and it too surpassed our expectations. The creamy texture, aromatic herbs, and tender pieces of meat created a symphony of flavors that delighted the palate.

Read moreAbsolutely terrible experience.
(1) We stated beforehand that one of our companion suffers from capsaicin (the natural red colouring of chili) allergy, and another from prawn allergy (which made then unable to eat sambal terasi). However, when the food came out, everything was smeared with chili and there was terasi sauce on the veggies.
(2) Price isn't transparent The owner indiscriminately took advantage of tourists and locals. The price stated for fish is Rp.90k, and we expected a huge one, but what came out instead was a super tiny fish (probs around 400g) with barely any edible flesh. We ordered coconut water too. The price isn't written down, but imagine drinking a tiny ball of coconut water and the bill costs Rp. 45k. Even 5-stars hotels do not charge that much. And the ice tea?? Tasted like water to me (10k for ice tea. Even the capital of Indonesia won't charge you that much for plain ice tea, especially in some traditional market).
(3) Costs greater than 5-star hotels restaurants
(4) Owner wasn't exactly friendly. He forced us to order extra portion for fish, and when we insisted on refusing, he raised his voice.
In conclusion, this place is a scam run by scammers where consumers won't even realized they have been scammed until the bill comes out (oh, and they manipulate the bill...
Read moreA good solid honest four stars for our single visit to Warung 24/7. Well recommended.
Between three of us, we tried a combo seafood platter, noodles and spring rolls. The platter would've been enough. The local people cook their seafood pretty hard, so be advised, but it was still very enjoyable. Great flavours, plenty to eat, and the real-deal warung environment. You feel like you've finally arrived in Indonesia.
The owner and head chef were a bucket of laffs. You will be teased and flirted with. And you'll probably like it, too. The whole evening was good fun, and the vibe make something special of a lovely dinner.
If I were able to go back and try more menu items, I would probably give them the fifth star. Next time!
Pro-tip: cash only, and we didn't see any ATMs within easy range after dark.
Another pro-tip: they cook over charcoal right there at the restaurant, which means you're going to get a little bit smoked - so...
