The must visit coto if you come to Makassar.

There are many coto sellers in Makassar, but this one is the most famous. I do believe there are other better coto, but we came for the great review.

The soup is very well seasoned and cooked. Thick with beef stock. The culture here is to add salt on table so don’t be surprise if the soup taste rather bland when arrive on your table. Other than adding salt, you might wanna add lime juice and a bit of sambal Olin you like chili. The meat served generously and very soft. I did not order ouval so I can’t give any review on that. Coto is best eat with buras (rice cake). The rice cake is also taste good.

This place is always crowded but you will be served fast. Don’t hang out too long after you finish eating, be mindful for those queuing.

The price is reasonable and you will need to mention the number of buras/crackers you eat to...

This Place is one of The Famous for Coto Makassar, signature dish of Sulawesi and always crowded by Coto Hunter. They said the soup is thicker than the other and the taste is awesome. Many famous people came here and they took the picture and not forget to hang it at the wall for promotions. first they will ask you for the meat items, meats or intestines and with the speed of light comes the coto in a very small bowl, they provide Buras and Ketupat they are all Rice Cake choose one as you like as the accompanion don't forget add more sea salt, sambal tauco and spring onion the last is add some lime for the acidity

Beef stew type local cuisine. This place is popular among the local with celebrity photos plastered on the wall posing with the owner. They serve the stew in small porcelain bowl, the beef being cut in small pieces , floating in the soup. The secret is probabky In the slow cooking and the mix of spices. I personally wasn't very excited by the food. It's good, but not exceptional. It's traditional and affordable. You eat the stew with some rice cake wrapped in coconut leaves (ketupat). That's a traditional food in Makasar, that is supposed to be a must try. I would not fly from Jakarta to Makassar just for it, but when you are in makassar,...
