LIMA SEBELAS Cafe — Restaurant in Malang

Ordered Tahu Bunting (Tahu isi sayur) and Hot Chocolate. Tahu was quite good; crispy and hot. The chocolate was just okay, a bit too sweet for my liking, and the chocolate flavour was not strong enough. Still, it was enjoyable. Total cost Rp 45K.

The servers are really doing hard work, calling all the names and doing their best to locate the customers. 😅 I think they can make a better system such as color-coded designation for each area to make it easier to deliver the orders.

The view is good. I mean, it is just the trains... but good and chill vibes.

As for the facilities... some renovation and change of furniture are needed. I get the intention to give the feel of old time. But surely old time does not have to mean dilapidated furniture.

The cashier on the 1st floor was quite confusing too. She was going to close her cashier, but was trying to tell me to order. After few questions, then I realised that if I want to sit on the 2nd floor, I have to order from the cashier there instead.

Overall, it was enjoyable. Hope it will get better, but not more...

Kalau dibilang cafe... Interior dan bangunan belum mendukung. Kalau dibilang warung kopi... Harganya mahal juga euy. Nggak sebanding dengan penyajian yang didapat.

🌴 Kita mulai dari poin plusnya dulu deh :

Lokasinya strategis, dekat banget dengan stasiun. Ada di tengah kota. Bagi pelancong yang ingin nunggu jadwal kereta berangkat, bolehlah mampir sini. Biar nggak jauh-jauh dari stasiun.

View ke arah rel. Jadi unik ya. Sambil ngopi sambil nonton kereta lewat.

Tempat duduk ada banyak. Bisa pilih yang indoor atau outdoor, di bawah atau di atas. Tersedia juga kursi bayi.

🌵Nah, sekarang minusnya :

Harga makanan dan minuman jatuhnya jadi mahal kalau dibandingkan dengan komposisi dan rasa yang disajikan. Teh hangat harga 10.000, disajikan dalam cup kertas dan itu pun nggak penuh (see pict). Gula cuma dapat 1 sachet. Rasa teh nggak enak.

Cup kertas dan cup plastik itu gaya penyajian street food yang orang beli karena buru-buru dan untuk dimakan/minum sambil jalan. Nggak cocok dipakai untuk penyajian dine in.

Menu spicy wing penampakannya persis ayam korban kebakaran (see pict). Ayam yang dimarinasi bumbu pedas itu akan lebih gampang gosong. Jadi perlu ketepatan waktu saat masak. Agar nggak tersaji seperti ini.

Rasa macaroni schotel kelewat hambar.

Interiornya didominasi kayu dan bata (a la) ekspos. Kalau malam suasananya suram. Ini preferensi aja sih. Mungkin ada juga yang lebih suka model begini.

Mbak kasir senyum dikit doooooonk. Jangan kaku mukanya kalau terima orderan. Eye contact sama customer itu penting lo. Bukan cuma butuh cekatan aja.

Menu diantar satu-satu. Nggak sekaligus. Jadi bisa aja minuman habis duluan, sementara makanan belum datang.

Kesimpulannya, belum akan balik lagi. Semoga ada perbaikan dulu. Terutama untuk harga menunya.

Mahal murah itu relatif. Teh 10.000 nggak akan terasa mahal kalau penyajiannya bagus, komposisi pas, nggak pelit gula, dan enak. Seimbangkan antara...

The taste was okay. But i dont think it's worth the price, cause the portion was small. They have indoor and outdoor setting. But the indoor was to dark and gloomy. The only good thing was the outdoor (cause you can see the train), but you will absolutely can't use it if it were raining outside. They played the music out loud to the point of annoying. I spend time to work there, and have a meeting. But they didn't even bother to decrease the volume. And don't forget the music wasn't suite the cafe vibes. And also lots of mosquito, if you stay there past 5pm.

Hope the cafe improve its quality, vibes...
