Nasi Bhug Matirah — Restaurant in Malang

This eating place is near malang train station that may be a good place to eat while awaiting for the train..this place is popular since some famous figures came and become one of recommended eating place by some reviewers in google.. They sell nasi bhug madura and rawon with various choice of side dishes. However their rawon is just so so for me and nasi bhug doesnt suit my taste..maybe because im not familiar with their lodeh nangka which is a bit sour..but the other side dishes...

Nasi campur (Madura) buk Matira. This is one of the legend in Malang. Many actors, actresses and even our President Jokowi had been eating here.

At first I thought it's a little bit pricey, because 1 portion cost @ Rp. 35k (22/09/19). When I looked at the plate, it has big chuck of tender & juicy empal meat, fried lung, tofu, serundeng, etc. Hence, I believe it's justified...

I quite often come to enjoy rawon here. Actually there is quite a lot of meat in this dish but I still add fried beef or a piece of fried spleen. The taste of the soup is delicious and there is a little difference from rawon in general. Actually the signature of rawon here is rawon knee. But unfortunately we have to come early, otherwise we definitely...
