CAUTION - AVOID BY ALL COST TO AVOID FOOD POISONING - EVEN IF YOU ARE STARVING!!!
We came here due to the good reviews and ordered a calamari and a snapper.
After seing soooo many flies around and after being on toilet that was super disgusting without a flush, I kindly asked if the snapper is from yesterday or today. She answered yesterday. I asked did you keep it in the refrigerator. She answered no, we don't have a refrigerator. After she saw my shocked face, she said don't worry, we put ice on it over night. I kindly asked that I have a upset stomach and if she could exchange it with Nasi Goreng. She answered, she will check with the cook. A few minutes later she came to the table and answered that I should not worry, the snapper is from today morning. I didn't want to be rude and said ok, thank you (my mistake).
After we received our food we got attacked by literally 100 flies. We simply couldn't eat our food so we stood up. She saw that and brought burning coffee against the flies, so we returned back to the table. After the first bight we noticed that the calamari and the snapper are for sure not fresh. They tasted disgusting!
So we stood up and went to the counter. I said sorry, the food is not fresh and we cannot eat it. And added I would like to pay. She asked if she should pack the food. I answer no, we would just like to pay.
Finally, she charged us the full amount and apologized for the flies.
We have been here in Indonesia now since a month and we have been to many other places in Asia and Africa. I have never experienced anything awful as this.
SO DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND AVOID THIS PLACE...
Read moreBEAUTIFUL view! Really enjoyed our experience there. Best time to go is definitely sunset - what a view of the ocean, the volcano, the sinking sun and a gorgeous soft sunset.
The food was good! We had the seafood nasi goreng, the grilled calamari and the cap cay. The cap cay was delicious (needed a bit more soy sauce in my opinion but other than that it was full of delicious veggies). The grilled calamari was a bit tough, but it was tasty. In hindsight we would have ordered the snapper as it was a bigger portion and just looked really beautiful and delicious when we saw others eat it! The nasi campur was good, we added some more soy sauce which made it great! Nice to have a different kind of nasi goreng to the usual chicken or just veg one.
Also, VERY attentive staff and very friendly owner. We were getting bitten by mosquitos and without even having to ask, the waitress brought out some...
Read moreHIGHLY RECOMMEND The meals here are fantastic and are all handmade and cooked to order in the kitchen. I met Nyoman and she showed me her kitchen and the prep/cooking area. The meals are traditionally indo sized (small compared to western) and I suggest everyone getting there own meal to ensure a decent fill.
The view of the sunset at dinner was superb. Sitting on the sand is a must if you want the best view. On a clear night, you can see Mt. Agung towering over Bali.
The kids can play and run around on the beach and there is also a swing set 2 warungs over where the kids are allowed to play.
And to top it off, they also have a free shuttle to pick up and drop off at your...
