I don’t know where to start this review, but i will concentrate on 2 major things that needs to be taken care of.
When we booked our room it was a ”garden room”. It turned out to be a room with the balcony towards the Main Street. When we realised this we felt that we had been lied to. But this is not the big thing here. The big thing is that this main road is pretty busy and the driving culture here is to honk your horn twice to show your presence and more. So if you gonna have a concrete balcony towards such environment you MUST have proper doors with some kind of insulation that keeps that sound out and don’t let it into your room. This is NOT the case here, there are flimsy doors with gaps around them, try to guess how that sound in the middle of the night when traffic is honking their horns and motors are being raved. I am a person that can take a lot of sound when i sleep but i woke up at least 6-8 times a night because of this. My wife had even bigger problems with this. Another aspect of this is that these doors have been installed at least 20 years i would like to think. And the next question is: How many people throughout these years have been waking up because of this??? This in my opinion is lack of managing a ”4-star” hotel.
The second things is the smell of mildew in the room, it is such a strong smell of mildew that it is disturbing. And if you can feel the smell so well it is NOT good for you… you can’t have your customers sleeping in this environment. You really have to do something. We have water dripping from the ceiling on to our floor also, i have no clue where the water may come from, drain, pipe??
Furthermore, this is NOT a 4-star hotel, it might have been, like 20 years ago? But now this hotel has no charm, no spirit or vision. You can really feel that after only 1 day of stay, it is soo sad. In the hallway/lobby there is a picture of the owners, i wonder how they feel about their hotel, if they are proud? Would be nice to know?
Honestly, if this hotel gonna live on, you really need to do big investment of renovations, if you not are willing to do that, just close it….let it go…..sorry to say.
I will attach a couple of pictures with explanations on them also, if you like to understand what i mean.
And i will also thank you, for i have been working hard this years for saving money to this trip to really rest and come back to my work rested……oh…no that is not the case now when i every night got woken up approximately 8 times because of the noise from the street. You must realize how this really...
Read moreStrong contender for the worst stay in Bali (based purely on our experiences so far having stayed at 3 different hotels this trip and multiple others over the years in Bali)
I 1) you can’t swim in the sea due to the seaweed farm, so you’d have to leave the resort if you want to go for a swim
good luck finding a towel, there’s never one available. When you ask the reception for one, they tell you to ask the bar staff for one, who then ask you to wait for 15-20 mins (which is never just 15-20mins) - invest in more towels or implement a card system to stop people from hoarding them in their rooms. It’s really that simple, no need to be so stingy about it.
highly underwhelming breakfast and i mean probably one of the worst I’ve had in anywhere I’ve stayed (not just in Bali) - coffee is awful, they only have sliced bread option, no other pastries or rolls. Waffles were the only good thing but there’s no maple syrup or any other condiments to go with it. Eggs are decent, freshly made upon request, can’t fault that. Needs serious improvement. We usually went for some fruit before heading out to find alternative breakfast places (if in the area, check out Ginger&Jamu they offer a really good selection from smoothie bowls to a range of full breakfast items)
wifi in the rooms - kept getting disconnected and kicked out, just not what you expect from a 4 star.
showers - water pressure very poor and Now onto some positives:
AC is very good in the rooms
Staff are friendly, and always want to help out as much as they can, with booking excursions (check out other providers for cheaper prices) to booking taxis etc
pleasantly surprised by the wifi on the beach, though again not a stable connection (although this obviously isn’t a must to have)
cleanliness - in comparison to other stays in Bali and Nusa Lembongan, this place scores highly in terms of general upkeep of rooms, and communal areas as well
Honestly though, my best advice to whoever is reading this is to stay elsewhere or to lower expectations and have a great...
Read moreThis resort does not fulfill the requirements of a 4 star resort. It’s rather a 2 star resort. Afterwards we would book a nice small apartment or hotel room somewhere else and come here during the day for a minimum spend of 100k to use the facilities and pool. Disappointing is that half of the time during tide the beach is a sea grass farm and has nothing to do with the pictures advertised. It should at least be mentioned and you cannot swim in the ocean at all times. Negativ is the condition of the beach area. It’s not cleaned up. Sun beds are not taken care of, its’ mattresses are dirty, or wet. In general you can see everywhere that they are still trying to erase the traces of the two year pandemic pause. The rooms are in a very basic design (bed, shower curtain), not a high standard so again not 4 stars, but at least clean. Rooms are very clairaudient. Breakfast buffet is also simple but there is variety, especially salty options. But again not a 4 star resort. The coffee needs to be improved. They have good coffee by a barista but not included into breakfast. Wifi hardly works in room and at beach. Bathroom smells like drain at all times. Closets do consist of one tray and a bar but only three hangers. You really do need more hangers. Check in from 2pm, checkout till 10am. Bar on the beach just opened Friday-Sundays from 4-7pm. Restaurant and hotel bar closes at 9pm, although there was quiet a demand. Recommendation is definitely not to include breakfast. There are really good breakfast options in walkable distance and breakfast really isn’t good. But it could be great, because their a la carte menue is quiet alright. No ATM for international cards around. Next one in mashroom bay. Hotel offers a transfer one way for 150k to this bay. It’s quiet a joke. Especially since it’s a 9 min drive and you need to check how you get back.
Positiv is the nice view out of the beachfront rooms, the friendly staff, the drinks including coffee served at the bar by a barista....
