Good food but bad service and pricey.

We went here very hungry and ordered 2 Drinks, 2 Sides and 6 Sushi-Rolls.

The Sushi was creative and had interesting combinations, but everything was bathing in a brown BBQ-esque sauce, which kinda overtook the he flavour. The Cocktail came in a very small wine glass (maybe 100ml in volume) and with too much ice.

Also our food came in a weird order and with kinda long waiting times in between. First one side Then a side and a roll Then three rolls And then with a very long waiting time One roll And just before we wanted to go because ist took too long the last roll arrived.

The timing in the kitchen has to improve.

Also our drinks were empty since the second round and we weren’t even asked if we want new ones.

I wouldn’t recommend it because the service is really lacking (especially because of the price tag), but you will get some great sushi if...

I rarely write reviews, but this place was so disappointing that I feel obligated to warn others. The fish was clearly not fresh. The texture was mushy and watery, with that unmistakable taste of being frozen, defrosted, and probably refrozen more than once. Honestly, it was hard to eat without feeling uneasy.

The sushi arrived at room temperature, which is extremely concerning for raw fish. Food safety seems to be completely ignored in this restaurant. I was genuinely worried I would walk away with a case of Bali belly, and judging from some of the other reviews, it looks like a few people already have.

For a restaurant that charges decent money, this level of quality is completely unacceptable. I would strongly recommend skipping this place and finding somewhere that actually knows how to handle seafood properly.

I am not sure where the good reviews came from. Perhaps it has changed hands recently. Food was below par!! Ebi tempura was the worst I have ever had, I’m sure it came pre battered from a freezer pack. Rather than being light and crispy, it was a thick dough like batter. Inedible, when we knocked the batter off there was a small skinny prawn inside- looked like a strip of prawn rather than a prawn(maybe a 1/3 cut lengthwise) Sashimi was a pale pink, again obviously frozen for a while. Sushi was ok, not the best but not the worst. Service was very slow despite only one other table there. Waitresses were nice and polite.
